Judging: Miniature Pinscher, Toy Group

My first appointment with CC’s in this breed and I was pleased with the quality of the entry .  All those entered had good  lift in front movement  , which is essential in the Min Pin .  Delighted that my BOB winner eventually went Group 2 in a quality  toy group.

Class 645 JD (2 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 1547 WATKINS, Ms Tereza & BUGDEN, Miss Jess Ch Hawksflight Hot Pursuit JW  I have admired this dog from the ringside during his so far, short and spectacular career.  On examination he does not disappoint.  Perfect size .He has an excellent head, good flat skull,  elongated  foreface with no “cheekiness”and an oval eye,  giving him a typical  expression, good in neck and shoulders and has a good topline which he retains . Typical hackney movement . This boy is well trained and well handled, didn’t put a foot wrong.   There is however one major fault. - he is not owned by me.
2nd: 1542 PARKER, Mr Simon KAYPIN HAPPY AND YOU KNOW IT. Quality red dog , of nice size.  He has a good head , masculine without being overdone in any way, and expression is good  , he is compact, and moves well  . Not quite as firm in topline as 1 but he is a quality dog, with the required compactness, and good movement .

Class 646 PGD (1 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 1535 CERIATI, Miss Sarah Glenbrows When In Rome. I liked this well marked Black and Tan,  masculine head ,with well set ears which he uses to advantage.  Good neck,  Short  and square in body.  He moves nicely front and rear.  He is well behaved on the table and goes round the ring  well, but he led his handler a merry  dance when asked to stand still .  Very naughty which spoilt his chances in the challenge.

1st: 1541 PARKER, Mr Simon Ch VARDENAIS LUMOS  A red dog and a very worthy champion.  Good head  with lovely small ears .  Perfect size and very balanced throughout. Good neck,  body square with good ribbing and depth to brisket, .  Good angles which provide him with the means to move soundly and accurately .
2nd: 1539 MCILROY-STRACEY, Mrs Penny Krieger's Elf Fantastico.   I liked this dog who has a good head and neck,  square and compact in body,  and moved soundly with excellent lift.  Close decision in this class, the winner just had the edge in topline .

1st: 1546 URWIN, Mrs Wendy & URWIN, Mr Jonathan VICKSTOCK WOW ANEEVA. Loved this little bitch,  with her  lovely head ,and feminine expression.   Good eye and ears, lovely neck into well placed shoulders , good angles front and rear and good hackney action.  In outline she presents a perfect picture .  If I was being picky , I would like her slightly larger to complete the picture but I am sure she is within the standard for size , just at the lower end.   Well muscled and well trained . Pleased to award her BPIB

Class 652 JB (2 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: 1534 BUGDEN, Miss Jessica & PREDDY, Mr Isaac Hawksflight Hotta than Hell  very nice young bitch,  who has her own ideas as to how to behave in the show ring.  She has a good head, lovely neck and good body proportions.  Movement is good with correct lift .  Loved her size and General make , but she  preferred to keep her tail down when she moved and then was v fidgety when asked to stand still.   She was better in the challenge  but didn’t do enough for top awards .

1st: 1545 STRACEY, Miss R Ch Galkerah's Antonia to Krieger JW.  I like the general make and shape of this girl.  She presents a lovely outline when standing, with good neck, correct body proportions and good angles.  I also like the fact that she had good forechest.   She is expertly presented and trained and moves well.  In the challenge I preferred the head qualities of 1.  Res CC
