What an enjoyable show, ably assisted by my two very competent stewards. I was delighted to see some new exhibitors to the breed and to see how well they presented their dogs. All pads were found to be good, all exhibits had correct scissor bites and clean teeth. Unfortunately, some exhibits were shown with lack of  coat and no furnishings on their chests or front legs. This really detracts from  the overall picture.  All my winners found me, they had  the following in common, their outline was racy, they had lovely heads with good length of muzzle, plenty of neck and clean shoulders and a good length of loin. They were shown in excellent coat and moved soundly.

Class 171 SBD/B (2 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 426 RHODES, Mrs Lucy and Mr Frank Ghyllslap Bluebell. A nice type of bitch with a harsh red coat. Well balanced with enough bone. Good ear set and tail. I would like more length of muzzle. Nice dark eye. Good expression and attitude. Moved well.
2nd: 403 CAPERN, Mr Jamie Andrew Grian Ray Of Hope. Nicely presented bitch with a harsh red coat. Ears slightly flying which detracted from expression but topline good on the move. Correct length of loin and moved well.

Outline was racy and presented with a harsh red coat. Lovely head with good length of muzzle, ears perfect, a dark eye with true Irish expression. He moved really well around the ring. This boy will only improve with maturity. Though young, a worthy winner of the DCC.
