Thank you to the committee for the invitation to judge smoothcoat chihuahuas at this prestigious toy dog show. Also thanks to my 2 fabulous stewards. I had a fabulous entry to choose from and some difficult decisions to make, but i thank all the exhibitors for their entrys. Mouths on a whole were not a problem and all were nicely presented. I was particularly pleased to see some exciting puppys today, especially in the puppy bitches, some very promising youngsters indeed.

1st: 343 ALEXANDER, Mrs N Alderxena Pocket Rocket - nice young male of good type. Nice head and expression with large dark eye and good dentition. Showed well for his handler.
2nd: 421 TURNBULL, Miss Ashleigh Nicole Sunlea Bouncing Back From Prinleigh - cream bitch. Large dark eye with good dentition. Level topline. Another who showed well.

1st: 346 ANDERSON, Miss L Diamonchi Italian Man - I would describe this boy as very masculine. Nice head with large dark eye,broad skull, deep stop and good length of muzzle. Nice arch of neck onto level topline. Good tail set and carriage. Hope hes stopped growing.
2nd: 366 FOTHERGILL, Mrs D Diamonchi Italian Stallion - Cream, this boy won on balance and showmanship. Although i prefered the head proportions of his brother today, still lots to like. Moved well. Good turn of stifle.

A lovely class
1st: 382 HICKS, Miss E Xmas Dancer De Petit Roi Mojito At Casiatodo (Imp deu) - very nice wolf sable youngster heading the winners in this class. Very large dark eye and cheeky expression. Well placed ears and good dome on skull. Good reach of neck onto level topline and a nice turn of stifle. Powered round the ring. Pushed hard for higher placings.
2nd: 344 ALEXANDER, Mrs N Alderxena Ruler Of A Kingdom - Another lovely boy, red of nice quality. Liked his shape and balance, holding a level topline and carrying his tail well. Good turn of stifle allowing free movement.

1st: 385 HORNBY & KRIUCHKOVA, Ms Shelda & Natalia AKC Grand Sp Superiority Complex S Lipetskih Ozer - Very masculine dog you really need to get your hands on to appreciate. Well bodied, nice reach of neck onto level topline. Correct tail set and carriage. Powered around the ring. Wouldn't want muzzle any shorter, but super large eyes and typical expression. His showmanship is on another level, must be a joy to handle. Dog CC, his first but im sure not his last, then BOB.  Never put a foot wrong in the group. I will watch his progress with interest.
2nd: 396 MANGAS BRUGUERA, Mr Eduardo Ch Razzle Dazzle De Casa Del Hermitano - another lovely exhibit. Black tri with a text book head, nice length of muzzle, large dark eyes, broad skull and lean cheeks. Well placed ears which he used well. Good reach of neck onto level topline. Lost his tail carriage a little on the stand in the class which just made him loose out today for 1st place, but pulled it together in the challenge and happy to award him RCC.

Very impressed with these next 2 classes
1st: 416 SUTTON, Mrs B Nikitos Notgoinsoloinsoho - very much liked this young bitch, just something about her caught my eye. Head features coming along nicely but she comes into her own on the move, such a lovely shape on the move, strides out holding a level topline and correct tail set and carriage. Super quality girl. Best puppy bitch and then best puppy in breed in stiff competition.
2nd: 369 FOTHERGILL, Mrs D Diamonchi La Dolcie Vita - another lovely bitch puppy, looks to be litter sister to my two minor puppy dog winners. Jet black pigment with sweet expression. Used her large ears to her advantage. Very nice puppy.

1st: 388 HUMPHREYS, Mrs Lee Amarantos Oriana - very pretty little red girl. I wrote ‘little cracker’ in my notes and indeed she is. Text book head with large dark eyes, correct bite and large flaring ears. Held level topline and tail carriage on the stand and move. Very nice girl indeed. Had to split hairs for best puppy bitch and on another day she could win it easily. One to watch for sure.
2nd: 370 FOTHERGILL, Mrs D Moltobello Miss Moonstone At Diamonchi - yet another super puppy bitch. Large dark eyes of good size and large flaring ears set at correct angle. Lovely outline. Moved well with drive.

2nd: 417 TAYLOR, Ms Lesley Arkoschi Oh My Tweed JW - lovely pale blue fawn. Quality bitch, loved her large dark eyes, deep stop and nice length of muzzle. Super topline and tail set and carriage. Moved with good reach and drive holding level topline at all times.
