A sincere thank you to the committee of LKA for their very warm welcome. 

A huge thank you to all exhibitors for bringing your dogs, on this very special appointment for me to judge our unique breed. A few of you realised during and I hope all after that I believe a Bracco should exhibit its true extended trot without that you only have a gundog it doesn’t matter how sound it is.  It is that trot that drew me to the breed many years ago and of course a stunning head.

Congratulations to all class winners, and very special congratulations to my final principle winners. 

Puppy Dog (7/3A)

1st Sladden Canemamans Two Timer

Compact strong boned chestnut 9 months old boy.  Moving well for one so young.  Well laid back in shoulder, good angulation well balanced.  Kind, gentle, soft expression with the correct head planes. 

2nd Rose Bracciano Never Walk Alone With Piccorino 

Chestnut 11 months. Slightly heavier in build than 1 clean balanced lines, strong front, good bend of stifle. Well defined head correct eye colour, foreface has good width with a deep gently arched muzzle defining a typical Bracchi head outline.

3rd Allison &Wheeler Silvestre The Flash Around Kuantan.

 Junior Dog (2/0A)

1st Rose Piccorino Pheasant Plucker 

Chestnut 13 months. What a little cracker! Square in outline, well-muscled, good bone. Correct head planes. Moved with the true Bracco extended trot. Pleased to award him the dog CC and BOB over some beautiful examples of our unique breed.

2nd Phillips Bushwacker Donnie 

Orange slightly lighter in build that one.  Needs to relax into his stride on the move.

Post Graduate Dog (5/1A)

1st Warburton Owlspoint Loads Of Trouble At Heberhouse 

Chestnut well balanced boy. Correct head planes. Deep chest, good bone but not too much, Moved well with an extended trot.

2nd Beecham Gunsyn Hotrod At Rydonmist

Correct head planes. Good bone. Larger framed than 1 moved well.

3rd Szulzycka Braccorions All Or Nothing

Limit (9/1A)

1st Forbes& Sladden Canemamans Primo Al Fine Jw.

A very mature 3 year old O/W deep chested.  Well balanced throughout.  Elbows in direct line with the point of shoulder which are well laid back and wide in-between.  Good head with correct head planes and ear length moves with drive. 

2nd Smith Teveriani Stick To Ya Guns

2 year old O/W.  Heavier in type than 1st but a youngster with promising attributes.  Excellent rear and front angulation, a soft & gentle expression with the correct head planes.  Steady on the move, maintaining his top line.

1st Sladden Sh Ch Valcor The Confessor At Canemamans Jw Shcex Osw

Typical Bracco head, balanced foreface with good eye expression, clear divergence of muzzle and skull. 

Compact, well boned and bodied 3 year old.  Moved with purpose, good reach and drive.

A very striking, eye catching boy.

2nd Bell Tolriver Enzo At Owlspoint 

5 year old chestnut slightly lighter than 1 Suitable bone and angulation for the breed.

3rd Beecham Allegro Nord Bohemia Sheram At Rydonmist

1st Sanderson Owlspoint Trouble Again Jw

A very mature 6 year old boy.  In profile, a true almost square outline, slightly smaller in frame, oval bone.  A soft but masculine expression, correct eye shape, colour and plenty of chiselling below.  Moved gracefully and flowed with ease, in synchronisation with his owner.

2nd Northey Jakobstown One Fine Day

Super big boned almost 3 year old W/O.  Muzzle well defined with a gentle curve, a large spongy nose. Well laid back shoulders.  Good powerful mover covering the ground with style.

1st Bell Sh Ch Owlspoint Master of Trouble Sh cm Shcex 

An awful lot to like about this 9 year old O/W boy.  Stands proud, shown in excellent condition.  Such a gentle expression with typical Bracchi characteristics.  Correct top line and tailstock, moved with strength, style and a perfect in-trot.

2nd Beecham’s Grafskoe Gnezdo Arlo (Imp R)

Eye catching, striking 7 year old O/W boy, such a lovely, kind expression.  Striding out with great drive covering the ground efficiently and with style.  A lot to offer the breed and will have many glory days in veteran.

O/W 11 months Feminine with a good strong moderate length of neck flowing to well laidback shoulders.  Steady on the move with reach and a strong rear drive.  Long lean head.

2nd Atherton Bracciano Never Again At Brevathos

11 months Chestnut.  Deep Chest In great condition but lacks maturity. Very steady on the move

1st Steel Piccorino Per Piacere To Juhua

A lovely feminine 20 months O/W.  Classical bitch, almost square in profile, well boned with good rear and front angulation. Good head, eye colour and ear set.  One to watch out for.

Moved with ease around the ring with style.

2nd Webber & Sladden Paris Mon Tresore D’Amour

Chestnut 20 months old, good straight front with plenty of heart room. Well laid back shoulders. Still plenty to come from this bitch as she steadily matures. Steady on the move.

Feminine head and expression, 5 year old W/O. Very clean lines in profile, square in outline good bone good angulation, good drive and front extension. 

2nd Smith Teveriarni Secret Dreams 

Well proportioned and balanced 2 and a half year c/w bitch. Well balanced and almost square in profile, very pretty, feminine head. Moved with drive and sheer enthusiasm.

A pretty 3 year old O/W with good eye colour and chiselling beneath oval shaped eyes. Well placed shoulders, correct rear and fore angulation. Square in outline a good strong front. Moved with a purpose and style around the ring.

2nd Dodd & Hayes Bushwacker Dolly Daydream

A balanced 3 year old bitch.  Beautiful head and good ear set Good lay of shoulders with correct front and rear angulation.  Moved with drive maintaining her top line.

A lovely 2 year old.  A pretty girl, who moved around the ring with grace and style, good reach and drive with a maintained top line on the move.  Square in outline, good bone.

A more substantial W/O 4 year old bitch. Sweet expression on this lovely girl. Good chest and angulation in great condition allowing her to cover the ground with drive, ease and much enthusiasm.

Special Beginners Bitch (1/0A)

1st Worgan Piccorino Peperoncina

A young 18 months W/O. Beautiful head with the correct proportions well chiselled. Good shoulders moved straight and true now needs to mature to her potential.

A super, sunny day with some real quality dogs, great sporting exhibitors and very happy Bracchi.
