My thanks to the officers and committee of SUBC for their kind invitation to judge at this fledgling show – and to my two lovely stewards who kept everything running smoothly. On the whole I thought it was a quality entry, despite the relatively low numbers; size, shape and leg length were a bit mixed, as were mouths and fronts; however, I was very happy with my main winners – and could have awarded more CCs than the ones on offer; it is unfortunate that the move in venue and dates meant that the show clashed with several club shows in the Midlands – but I see some brave exhibitors managed to attend both!

MPD (2): 1 FLACK & HANNAH’s Mifcah's Heir To The Throne, masculine typy 8 months b/w with much to like, pleasing head and expression, well-proportioned neck well set on to sound well-boned frame, firm topline, high set tail, in good coat and condition, a bit of a handful on the move but good reach and drive when settled; 2 SKAWSKA’s Norboo Bobby Dazzler Of Mapimakastar, delightful 7 months red with much to like, sweetest head with well-placed dark expressive eyes, well-proportioned frame, moved with good reach and drive when settled, alert and attentive to handler, just needs time to develop.

PD (4): Nice class. 1 HOWARD’s Tameron Mr Penhaligon's, loved everything about this 11 months g/w, beautiful head, arrogant expression, good underjaw, super sound frame, pleasing for size and shape, good bone and body, well coupled, firm topline, high set tail, in immaculate coat and condition,  smooth and flowing on the move with good carriage reach and drive, well-schooled and handled. BPD, RDCC & BPIB – and pleased to see him go on to win RBPIS; 2 MCMILLAN’s  Yazhi Written In The Stars, 10 months r/w, another lovely youngster with much to admire, lovely head and expression, nicely arched neck well set on to sound well balanced frame, good bone, high set tail, another smooth flowing mover with good reach and drive, in immaculate coat and condition; 3 HATTEN’s Thaisu Hot Topic At Marbo; Res Norboo Bobby Dazzler Of Mapimakastar.

JD (3): CROSSLEY & CROSSLEY’s  Santosha Night Shade, 14 months b/w, pleasing for size, type and balance, well set eyes, good underjaw, plenty bone, firm body and topline, high set tail, in good coat and condition, sound free mover, well presented and sympathetically handled; 2 MCWILLIAMS’s  Rossvale Time To Shine For Learmount, 14 months red with much to like, lovely head with sweetest expression from well set dark eyes, good underjaw, slightly different balance to 1, good bone and body, sound and free on the move, sympathetically handled; 3 O’DONNELL’s  Thaisu Trick Or Treat At Chiachi.

LD (2): Difficult decision between these two – both have much to like – not surprised to see they are from the same kennel. 1 DYKER’s Thaisu Morningstar Avec Kimevan JW, pleasing for size, type and balance (I see is litter brother to my BOB), liked head and expression, sound well balanced frame, in good coat and condition, well presented and handled, sound on the move but would like a little more reach and drive (maybe not happy with the floor); 2 COOKEs’ Thaisu's Blinding Light, similar comments,  a year older and slightly more masculine and mature (as you would expect), pleasing head and expression, well-placed dark eyes, good bone, high set tail, sound mover, sympathetically handled.

OD (5, 1a): Difficult class – all different for size, ‘type’ and overall balance – all with much to admire. 1 DE LA COUR’s Ch Santosha Memory Of Love, I only realised when I wrote out the CC that I gave this dog the RDCC last time I judged (from YD), he has matured nicely and is now the finished article, beautiful open head with soft expression from lovely dark eyes, nicely arched neck well set on to super sound well balanced frame, good bone and body, best of toplines, high set well carried tail, sound free mover with good reach and strong driving action, in immaculate coat and condition, beautifully handled and presented. DCC & BOS; 2 FLACK & HALS’s Ch Multi Ch Mifcah's The King And I JW, impressive g/w with much to admire, slightly more masculine than 1, pleasing head and expression, well-proportioned neck well set on, firm topline, high set tail carried well over back, impressive shape and carriage (both stacked and on the move), in good coat and condition, well-schooled and handled;3 DE LA COUR’s Santosha Dark Secret With Coursani; Res HATTEN’s Marbo Whatever You Want.

SBD (1): 1 Norboo Bobby Dazzler Of Mapimakastar. BSBIB & later BSBIS3.

MPB (1): 1 SKAWSKA’s Mapimakastar Lady Sat Al, 8 months sable/white, sweet head, lovely dark eyes and pigment (although eyes could be bigger), ultra sound well balanced frame but higher on leg than my other winners, in good coat and body, sound and free on the move.

PB (5): Difficult decision between 1 and 2 – both quite lovely. 1 O’DONNELL’s Santosha Senorita At Chiachi, pleasing for size, type and balance, this mature looking 10 months red/white really took my eye (both stacked and on the move), beautiful head and expression, darkest eyes and pigment, sound well-proportioned frame, high set tail, good bone, in immaculate coat and condition, lovely smooth flowing movement, could not resist her (from a good line-up) for the RBCC; 2 HOWARD’s Tameron Miss Ruby Orchid, 9 months g/w, very unlucky to meet 1 today, another beautiful sound typy exhibit from this kennel, sweetest head and expression, well balanced frame with good ribcage and so well coupled, good bone, firm topline, high set tail, in immaculate coat and condition, lovely sound free mover, well-handled and presented; 3 COOKEs’ Thaisu Moon Fairy; Res SKAWSKA’s  Mapimakastar Lady Sat Al; VHC SKAWSKA’s Mapimakastar Jasmin Jol Ja.

JB (3): 1 HOWARD’s Tameron Miss Smell Of Chanel, 11 months g/w, another sound typy exhibit from this kennel (I see litter sister to BPIB), feminine all through with the sweetest head and expression, lovely dark eyes and pigment, sound well balanced frame, firm topline, high set tail, in good coat and condition, really comes into her own on the move with super free flowing movement and good reach and drive (and eye catching carriage), well presented and handled. BJIB & well done on BJIS2; 2 POPE & SMITH’s Shidizzle Bryamzy Sue At Maskeen, 16 months g/w, feminine yet sturdy with much to like, pleasing head and expression, lovely dark eyes and warm expression, sound well balanced frame, coat a little inbetween but well presented, sound mover; 3 Mapimakastar Jasmin Jol Ja.

PGB (4): Mixed class.DYKER’s Thaisu Fallen Angel Among Kimevan, feminine r/w brimming with type and quality, I could not take my eyes off this lovely exhibit, beautiful head and expression, lovely dark eyes, nicely arched neck well set on to sound well balanced frame, lovely high set tail, so free and sound on the move with good reach and plenty drive, in immaculate coat and condition, sympathetically handled. BCC & BOB; 2 PRUDEN’s Pinyinz Sugar Hiccups, well-boned g/w with much to like, pleasing head and expression, lovely dark eyes, firm well-knit sturdy frame, a little higher on the leg, high set tail, in very good coat and condition, well presented and handled; 3 THORNTON’s Norboo Bella Rosa; Res MCMILLAN’s Yazhi Dancing Queen.

LB (3): 1 DE LA COUR & DE LA COUR’s Cavateena Situla Scarlet For Lavril (gkc), quality g/w with much to like, lovely broad head, well placed dark eyes giving warm expression, nicely arched neck well set on to sound well boned frame, pleasing proportions, high set tail (although would like more lift), in immaculate coat and condition, well presented and handled, sound and free on the move; 2 THORNTON’s Norboo Bella Rosa, 22 months red (I see half-sister to my BSBIB), pleasing for size, type and balance, lovely head and expression, liked proportions, good bone and body, high set tail, coat coming through nicely, well presented and sympathetically handled; 3 Valkiria Sweet Addict For Maili (imp Poland) JW.

OB (3,1): Difficult decision between these two beautiful bitches. 1 DE LA COUR’s Ch Coursani Sand Queen (gkc), mature g/w, I gave the RBCC last time I judged from YB, she has matured nicely and I still have the same opinion of her (a very worthy champion), she seemed a bit unsettled on the floor at times but I saw enough to award her this place – beautiful head and expression from lovely dark eyes, nicely arched neck well set on to super sound frame, good bone, high set tail, in immaculate coat and condition, well-handled and presented; 2 CROSSLEY & CROSSLEY’s Ch Santosha Silhouette, mature red, another sound typy champion with much to admire, gave her 1st in LB last time, I really like her size balance and she excels in outline and carriage (both on the stack and on the move) and has really good reach and drive, beautiful coat immaculately presented, sympathetically handled.

VB (1): 1 SKAWSKA’s  Amore Mio Satinel Reheto At Mapimakastar (Imp Pol), 7 years sable/white, slightly higher on the leg than most of my winners but has much to like, pleasing head and expression, lovely dark eyes, nicely arched neck well set on to sound well boned frame, firm topline, high set tail, sound mover with good carriage, alert and attentive to handler, happy character.
