Japanese Shiba Inu - Judges Report.

            I enjoyed judging this lovely breed again and was very pleased with my winners lie up.

Overall I found the quality was good with with largely sound conformation. Muscle condition was

generally good but a number of coats were beginning to “blow”. One or two exhibits were moving

too close behind although most kept their shape on the move. All exhibits had good temperaments.

            Well grown youngster, soundly constructed, moved well, lovely dense coat and a pleasing 

expression.

Puppy Dog – 2 Entries   1 Abs.

1st. Wright’s CHIKAMICHI GO FROM HACHIMANTAI TO SEALANDER.

Lots to like about this Black/Tan, Pleasing outline, correct head and expression, sound mover

and in good coat and condition.

2nd. Nayir’s NIZU TAICHI. Again pleasing outline, in good condition, correct head and expression,

not quite together on the move.

Limit Dog.     3 entries  0 Abs.

1st. Shutt’s TAPENA NO AKIRA FIREBALL.  Rangier type but still a good example of the breed.

Sound, well constructed, in good coat and condition.

2nd. Greenwood’s JARSHIMAR BAZ’S BEAR. Lovely standing outline, correct arch of neck, 

pushed hard for top spot.

3rd. Wright’s TOSHIRO MIFUNE SUBARASHII TO SEALANDAIR (Imp Pol)

1st.Ellershaw’s CH.SHIOMARU ESCAPE TO THE STARS AT GALVIKKI(Imp Rus) 

Lovely dog on top form, correct conformation and condition, beautiful head and expression.

Moved and showed well. Dog CC.

2nd. Dunhill-Hall’s CH. IR.CH. VORMUND BE STARTIN SOMETHIN.  Another quality

Shiba from this kennel, in good coat and conditon, moved well. Top two in this class very close, just 

preferred overall picture presented by 1.

3rd. Law’s TAPENA GO GIYU SHIN.

Lovely 8 Yr. Old in good coat and condition, showed well keeping her shape well standing

and on the move.

Stanley’s VORMUND DORIAN GRAY. Sound , well proportioned, moved well, promising 

youngster.

1st. Dunhill-Halls’s VORMUND COACHELLA.  Lovely outline, well constructed, correct neck,

head and expression. Could well soon press for top honours. Res CC.

2nd. Mothersdale’s AMIVIKE’S BABY BLUE. Very close in quality to 1st. And should do well, 

just preferred to “poise” of winner.

proportioned, pleasing head and expression and in good coat and condition.

2nd. Shutt’s RED ANOMI DI POGGIO PETROIO FOR TAPENA (Imp. Ita.)  Stockier type

with correct expression and ear placement, lovely colour.

beautiful type, classic outline standing and moving. Lovely head and expression with correct arch

2nd. Mothersdale’s AMIVIKE’S THUNDAR CLOUD Not outclassed at all in this company, many 

pleasing points, well balanced outline, good head and expression, moved well.
