Judging: Best In Show, Puppy

National Working & Pastoral Breeds Society.

Pastoral Puppy Group.  Judge Lynne Salt. 

Many thanks to the Committee for giving me the honour of judging the Pastoral Puppy Group. The weather was hot but there was a nice breeze and the Committee worked tirelessly keeping the dogs, exhibitors, stewards and judges safe and comfortable and there was a great atmosphere. 

I shortlisted to 7. The Australian Cattle Dog, The Belgian Shepherd Dog and Shetland Sheepdog  but found my

 Group 1 in  Reeves - Charmlea Starblazer. Old English Sheepdog. Stunning Puppy, beautifully presented with lovely head qualities and body of good proportions. Sound and controlled in movement for one so young making a lovely overall picture. 

Group 2 Hopkins Navratilova Dr Iva Dynar Sun King – Samoyed. Wonderful head and expression with excellent pigmentation. Good depth of chest and super outline. Great showman, agile and sound on the move. 

Group 3.  Lockyer, Mrs Mellissa Gataj Miss Sparkles Collie (Rough) Most feminine head with melting expression. Lovely overall shape, shown and presented in excellent condition.

Group 4  Curnow Mr & Mrs  Chris and Bridget Draccus Yin – Norwegian Buhund.  Lovely wedge shaped head and dark brown eye.  Full of himself with lovely overall outline and good movement once he settled.
