Class 274 PGD (2 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: 689 SQUIRES, Mr Anthony Steven Mybeards Starstruck. 23 mths exuding plenty of breed type. Masculine head properties of correct proportions with broad skull and dark, correctly shaped oval eyes contributing to a bright expression. Muscular neck leading to well placed shoulders, level back line and well angulated fore and aft. Harsh coat completed the picture. Moved out well, displaying plenty of front reach and pushing the ground away underneath him with his rear driving action. Res. DCC
Class 276 OD (2 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 690 WARWICK, Miss Julie Ann & WILKINS, Mr Michael Ch Mybeards Cococabana. Oozing quality, class and breed type to reflect his champion status. Masculine all through with near perfect overall proportions. So well balanced with standard-fitting conformation in all departments with nothing exaggerated or overdone. Totally on form today and in perfect harmony with his owner who moved him at exactly the right pace without any fuss or drama to showcase his many virtues and show off his smooth, easy action. A beautifully presented coat of correct amount and texture completed a very nice picture indeed. Shown in the hard, fit condition I always appreciate, I had no hesitation in awarding him DCC & BOB. Delighted to watch him shortlisted in the strong pastoral group later in the day.
2nd: 680 HILLIER, Mrs A & Mr P Ch Mybeards Zip (ai). What a charmer this fellow is. Super masculine head properties of correct planes and proportions with dark eye and pigment, clean dentition and correct ear shape and placement, all contributing to such a captivating, lively expression with a hint of mischief. Muscular neck leading to clean shoulders, well sprung rib, strong broad loin and correct angle of croup and sound front and rear assembly. Presented a balanced picture on the stand but for me, was carrying a tad excess weight today, which reflected in his movement which could have been a little smoother. That said, this boy possesses all the conformational attributes to take him to the top assisted by his charming temperament which shone through here today .
Class 280 JB (1 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 681 KING, Miss Paula Skaijaks Last N' Lumination With Grayona. Well presented youngster. Feminine all through with correct head properties, correctly shaped dark eye and strong pigment combining to create a typical penetrative expression. Strong, muscular neck leading to a good lay of shoulder, straight front, strong pasterns and correct rear assembly with well let down hocks being amongst her many attributes. Really came into her own on the move, striding out with a confident smooth and steady action. Could perhaps be a touch longer in body for greater overall balance but she used her other attributes so well on the move, stepping up a notch in the challenge which secured her top spot. BCC
Class 282 LB (1 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 679 CARTER, Mrs Millie Mybeards Majesty. 3 yr old of good overall proportions. Strongly made all through but without heaviness and retaining her femininity. Pretty head with broad skull and good strength of muzzle. Strong pigment and kind eye. Soundly put together in all departments with well defined musculature. Covered the ground well with a free and easy action on sturdy hocks and supple pasterns in the class, but not quite as together in the challenge. A lovely girl with time on her side.
Class 283 OB (2 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: 688 SPRINGTHORPE, Mrs A Mybeards Countess Millthorpe. Built on smaller lines, but with everything in proportion and creating a typical outline on the stand. Ultra feminine with so much to like. Correct shape of skull with good eye shape and colour. Strongly pigmented with typical expression. Strong neck fitting well into a good lay of shoulder, strong top line, correct spring of rib and matching angles fore and aft. Covered the ground freely in profile, but not as true on the out and back of which I know she is more than capable and which her conformation suggests, so felt this lovely lady had more to give here today
Class 284 VB (2 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: 687 SHRIEVES, Ms L J Int Ch Ir Ch NL Ch Lux Ch Swiss Bel DK Ch Mybeards Hope.
9 years young and clearly not ready to bow to her veteran status any time soon. Of super make and shape and ultra feminine all through with pleasing overall length to height proportions. Lovely feminine head properties atop a muscular neck set well into her clean shoulders. Good spring of rib, correct forehand construction and matching rear assembly with strong, broad loin and neat, pushy hocks. Such a serious contender for the top spot, but in the challenge, could not quite keep up with the younger exhibit. Her many qualities could not be denied however to clinch a well deserved RCC & BVIB
