My thanks to the committee for the privilege of judging my second breed and to the exhibitors for the great honour of such high quality exhibits throughout. I was thrilled for all the “Best of ” winners - each gaining a Group placing in their respective groups with the Best Veteran winning the Working Veteran Group - congratulations everyone. Many thanks also to my 2 very efficient stewards for their hard work on a rather warm day.

Class 1704 MPD (2 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 4345 INGRAM, Mrs J A & Miss V L & LACK, Mr R J Jojavik Assassin's Code. Very baby puppy, very raw but so much quality. I loved his head, still much work there but he has the darkest of eyes, correct shape with a wicked expression. Well set ears, strong muzzle with good depth. He has a lovely reach of neck, forechest is coming along nicely and he has a a super front with well shaped tight feet. His topline was a little soft, to be expected from one so young, but he has a lovely body shape, compact and deep and a super tailset. On the move, he has good reach in front and once he settled, plenty of drive behind. BPD
2nd: 4340 HICKLING, Mrs Chelsea & HICKLING, mr Ashley & HEMM Evalesco's Shade Of Class. Another with lots to like, his head is coming on well, not the ear set of the winner, but he has a well shaped dark eye and a good depth to his muzzle. Enough bone and tight feet. He is square with well sprung ribs, a good forechest and a cracking topline and tail set. Steady on the move but a little close behind.

His head is masculine without being overdone, well shaped eye, tight lipped and high set ears. He has a strong muzzle, being picky, would like a tad more length to it. Clean neck, straight front , enough fore chest and a well let down brisket. Good angulation with plenty of power behind, fluid on the move and looked like he could have gone on all day. Pushed the CC winner hard. RCC.

1st: 4361 BISLAND, Mrs Joan Ch Lux Ch Krieger's Highland Fling Jw. I'm not sure that I can say anything about this beautifully put together brown bitch that hasnt already been said before but let me start by saying that I loved her as a very baby puppy when I first saw her and to be given the honour of judging her as a mature adult was one I was thrilled with. She exudes breed type, feminine but with great strength and so well put together. Her head is well balanced, she has good depth of muzzle and correct dentition. Super reach of neck, clean and dry leading to a cracking straight front, well developed forechest and the tightest of feet. Her topline slopes gently, held well on the move and ribs are well sprung. She has good angulation fore and aft and was presented in just the best condition, gleaming jacket and great muscle tone. On the move, she was steady and precise, great reach in front. Delighted to award her the CC & BOB and so pleased to see her awarded WG3 later on in the day.

Being in Veteran should take nothing away from this elegant showgirl - she has such a lovely outline, clean, beautifully angulated, super reach of neck, enough forechest and good depth of chest. I loved her head and she has the darkest of eyes so full of expression. Her topline is firm with a cracking tailset and presented in superb condtion, well muscled and with a gleaming jacket.
