This 8 month pup is well boned and put in a confident performance. I liked his head which has equal plains, flat skull, dark almond shaped eyes, but his ears are on the large size. He has a good depth of brisket and well ribbed. Moved ok in rear. Coat coming through nicely.

Smart young chap, of good size and a pleasing outline. His head is flat and clean with a good length of foreface, with keen eyes. He has plenty bone, an elegant length of neck which flows gracefully onto a short back and loin. Correct tail set and depth of brisket with a tidy underline and tuck up. Handled and presented well but he wouldn't let me examine his head on the table.

A balanced and workmanlike Welsh who has matured nicely over the years. He has the required bone and strength throughout. Typical in head with good proportions. Straight front, good width of chest, strong loin, plenty bum behind. He moves well both ways. Presented in good order.
2nd: 2206 CRABTREE, Mr David Tedtree Diamond Geezer. Masculine dog in a good jacket on the day. He has a pleasing head with a flat skull and keen dark eye, moderate length of neck. Nice tail carriage. Chicken-breasted, and would prefer more leg, good feet, great strength in his body and he showed well.

This well balanced male is of good size, make and shape. Head of correct proportions, clean over neck and shoulders, short back with good tail set carried slightly gaily. Moderate width of chest, correct ribbing, liked his short hocks which seems to be lacking in a lot of welsh, tight feet and has ample bone. RCC
2nd: 2220 WILLIAMS, Mr Chris & WILLIAMS, Mrs Sarah & WILLIAM Tillmonts Rocket Man.
Welsh of good breed type. This dog has a typical masculine head and expression. Punishing jaw. Well made in front, deep chest, very strong bones. He has all the fire and courage of a true terrier but must learn to reign it in to progress further, hence his placing. Put down in excellent coat and condition on the day.

This well reported dog deserving his placing today with an outstanding performance which he pulls out the bag at every show. The union between this dog and his handler is beautiful to watch, so understandably he continues to get high awards. In profile he is so typically square for a welsh, balanced proportionally. He is a quality dog to go over but I would prefer a much stronger, masculine head to balance this dog out, but clever grooming does hide this. CC, BOB.
2nd: 2219 SCHONEBERG, Mr F W Paperman Arteon.
This compact, smaller than 1 grizzle male has much to admire, from his front assembly that is correctly angulated, moderate neck, good layback of shoulder, short coupled, tail set and carriage, well angulated rear quarters. He has super small eyes but wasn't using his ears at all. Presented beautifully.

A petite, quality youngster of good breed type. Very feminine with super angles throughout. Correct shaped head with good sized ears and dark eyes, correct bite. Elegant neck and well placed shoulders producing clean straight movement at the front. She is well balanced with a super top and underline. A bit naughty on the move, but I'm sure she will settle as she matures. I just would like more of her overall! RCC, BP.

A lovely compact square bitch. She has a good head with a flat skull and correct eye and ear placement. Felt her neck was ever so slightly longer than i'd prefer, but was elegant on her. Straight front on powerful pasterns, shoulders sloping into a well laid short back. Correct width of chest, good tail set on. Good front movement and compact feet. Black grizzle coat nicely presented. CC.

Good headed bitch with very dark eyes, good leathers, correct head proportions. Moderate length of neck gracefully sloping into good shoulders. Well ribbed and correct width of chest. Hindquarters are strong with well muscled thighs with short hocks. Handled well but would prefer her head to be held higher on the move. Coat presented well and in good condition.
2nd: 2211 KAROV, Mr Valentin Cunnings Yellow Submarine.
Another good headed bitch. She has a more feminine expression than 1 due to her small dark eyes with a lovely dreamy look. Nice moderate length of neck and a good topline. Well ribbed. Preferred the movement and overall balance of 1.

One with a number of positive virtues and was considered for RCC, but lost out on overall balance. This good sized bitch has matured nicely and pleased to see her presented in tip top condition which I appreciated. Good head proportions, moderated length of neck and good topline. Correct depth of chest and well ribbed. Would like more length of leg, well off for bone and has plenty behind bum. Showed well for owner.
