Leeds Championship Dog Show  26th July 2026.

Tibetan Spaniel 

Thank you to the committee for the judging appointment at this show and the exhibitors for the entries and accepting my placings. Overall, the standard of exhibits was very good, mouths need watching. 

Class SBD/B (1 Entry) Abs: 0
1st: PERFITT, Mrs Shelley Anne Richearon Easy Does It for Hilshki, Gold Sable dog who stands a little low at the front, nice head with good pigment and good eye shape, little to undershot and erratic on the move.

Class MPD (1 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: PERFITT, Mrs Shelley Anne Hilshki Heart Full Mischief, 7-Month-old with a well-built body who looked good on the move, correct topline with a good tail set correct head shape with good dentation and dark pigment.

Class PD (3 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: BAILEY, Mrs J Oldcharm Deep in Love with Sagrael well-built dog in good coat, correct head with nice, shaped eyes and good pigment, good shoulders and front nice topline with correct tail set, he moved with drive. 
2nd: BUTTERFIELD, Mrs Susan L Oldcharm Love Me Do Chequerpei, littermate to 1 but very different, low to ground at the front, head could be stronger and longer in muzzle dentation ok very erratic on the move.

Class PGD (8 Entries) Abs: 1
1st:  HASSELL, Mrs Jane & VINE, Miss Heather Lacoral King Edward at Beanalrem well-made dog in good coat, correct head with black muzzle and correct eye shape with a good mouth, correct front, shoulders well laid  with a level topline and correct tail set. He looked excellent on the move RCC
2nd: KERR, Mrs M Y Vonvue Warrior Chief, another well-built dog close to 1. Nice masculine head with good dentation, correct oval eye shape, correct layback of shoulders and a good topline on the move.                      3rd: CHRISTIE, Mrs D & Miss L Balgay Golden Buzzer(AI)

Class LD (4 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: PROUVE, Mr L & MORAN, Mr A Castafiore Givenchy Dark sable with a good head , dark oval eye , good mouth , correct front with well placed shoulders and a level topline and correct tail set strong hind action he moved with drive. Well presented. 
2nd: COUGHTRIE, Mrs D & HENDRY, Mrs Caroline & PATERSON Jazpiper Classic Touch., light gold dog with a good front with correct layback of shoulder nice head with good eye shape, correct mouth and dentation, in good coat moved out and back well.                                                                                                                 3rd: WALLIS BAGA Miss B Velrock Indian Gold.

Class OD (6 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: CHRISTIE, Mrs D & Miss L Betranna Athos seen this dog before, he has always played his handler up on the table but today he was on his best behaviour excellent size boy in good coat well presented, Nice masculine head with dark eye excellent pigment, good front and shoulders strong neck, level topline with good tail set good strong rear movement moved with drive CC
2nd:PROUVE, Mr L & MORAN, Mr A Castafiore Sevastyan, well-presented male of good size, correct front with good layback of shoulder leading to a level topline,  good tail set,  Masculine head with correct eye shape correct dark pigment and good dentation. Moved well coming and going.                                                         3rd: SMITH Mrs P Torfness Gamekeepers Vigil.

Class VD (2 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: THOMPSON, Miss Olivia Ch Susu Prince Charming ShCEx VW 8 year old sable correct for size and substance, small head with correct balance , well cushioned muzzle, good stop , lovely dark oval eyes with dark pigment, short neck, well laid shoulders, level topline, high set tail well carried, sound out and back, correct coat, in fabulous condition and shown to perfection, super example of the breed . 
2nd: HARFORD, Mrs Andrea & HARFORD, Mr Michael Mennimoonz Dragon Fly, Particolour who looks good overall with a nice head, good mouth and correct eye shape, correct front with good shoulders and topline.

Class MPB (3 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: BAILEY, Mrs J Sagrael Its A Kind Of Magic 6 1/2 months old gold nice shape and body with a good head and eye shape correct dentation should do well as she matures.
2nd: BEASLEY, Mrs Karen Lesley Hilshki All About Adaline at Marlyoak Naf, 7 months old pale gold very raw youngster with good bone and shape, in nice coat, correct mouth shows promise for the future.                 3rd: BAILEY, Mrs J Sagrael Touch of Magic .

Class PB (1 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: HORTON, Mrs Lesley & HORTON, Mr Nigel Parloueve Show Me Love of Dixpat, stood alone but what a lovely baby, beautiful colour excellent body and head, with dark pigment and correct mouth. Correct front with nice layback of shoulder, level topline with a good tail set moved with drive from strong rear quarters, hopefully she will go far as she matures. RCC and BPIB

Class JB (2 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: ABERCROMBIE, Miss L Tibwood It Means Beautiful, sable with a good outline and body with correct front and shoulders, level topline and nice head with correct dark pigment. In good coat move out well. 

Class PGB (5 Entries) Abs: 2
1st: 5257 PROUVE, Mr L & MORAN, Mr A Castafiore Gisele, another lovely female from this kennel, beautiful shade sable with black overlay, excellent shape who was presented in good body, front and shoulders excellent, level top line with correct tail set, lovely head with correct muzzle and cushioning, correct eye shape and colour, nice strong rear movement a joy to watch on the move. 2nd: 5221 BAILEY, Mrs J Parloueve Love Me at Sagrael, the breeder of this young female has turned out some good examples today, shame she came up against 1, very similar in body and head good mouth ,correct front with good shoulders and top line with correct tail set Not quite the movement of 1.                                            3rd: PERFITT, Mrs Shelley Anne Richearon All about Audrey of Hilshki.

Class LB (6 Entries) Abs: 1 Very varied and difficult class.
1st: LOWES, Mr Td & Mrs Cm Richearon That's Easy Red gold of nice size with good body shoulders and topline out of coat moved well.
2nd: KERR, Mrs M Y Vonvue Goddess Misha Similar colour to 1 again nice size with a level topline good head not the movement of 1. 
3rd: DOLPHIN, Mrs G Castafiore Isadora.

Class OB (8 Entries) Abs: 1 Quality class they could all change places at next show.
1st: 5236 FORD, Mrs Karen Rosemary Castafiore Isabella sable , nice size with a feminine head, correct dark eye, good mouth and dentation. Good front and shoulders nice reach of neck leading to a level top line that she kept on the move. lovely hare feet in good coat. 
2nd: 5228 CAMPBELL, Mrs P Ch Tulibell Bad Habits JW  did not line up to her name, same quality as 1 correct size very feminine head, correct front, shoulders neck and topline, good movement.                                                                                                                     3rd: ADAMS Mrs G Balgay Then Thunk

1st:ADAMS, Mrs G Ch Balgay Okurimono ShCEx VW lovely veteran lady I have judged before, gave her a reserve CC as a youngster,  so pleased to see she has fulfilled the early promise and has  gone onto gain her well-deserved title, she has matured into a lovely veteran who has gotten better with age, still has so may lovely qualities, beautiful, feminine, a typical Tibetan head, eye and dark pigmen, expression to die for, mature body, correct front, neck and shoulders, level topline with good tail set, profuse silky coat, strong rear quarters she moved with drive at one with her handler. . BVIB
2nd: THOMSON, Ms E J Tibbiestars Moulin Rouge  Red gold, good size with nice body in good coat, correct front well place shoulders leading to level top line good rear movement.                                                                                        3rd: HARFORD Mrs A & Mr M Mennimioonz Little Mole.
