Swedish Vallhund

I was grateful for the strong entry across all breeds despite the weather. It is an honour when exhibitors choose to enter under me and allow me the privilege of going over their dogs. All exhibits presented with correct bite and dentition in good condition; I did not encounter any poor mouths. A couple of youngsters were new to the ring, and I was pleased to receive messages afterwards from handlers who were happy with how their dogs coped with the busy, distracting environment and appreciated the gentle, patient approach during examination. My sincere thanks to my two ring stewards, who kept the ring running smoothly and remained cheerful throughout.

Every show is a learning experience for all involved, and I thoroughly enjoyed my day with you.

Class 287 PD/B (0,0)

Class 288 JD/B (2,0)
1st: 415 CAMERON & WOODS’ Bowkol Kynligr Odyssee: 14‑month‑old proportionate male, well boned and handsome. Although a junior, he commanded attention. Neat blunt wedge‑shaped head with flat skull and a square muzzle of good length and strength. Medium ears and dark brown oval eyes giving a watchful, alert expression. Strong, well‑muscled neck flowing into a broad, strong back. High tail set continuing cleanly from a broad, slightly sloping croup. Oval chest of good width and already well-muscled; well‑laid shoulder with a shorter, clearly angled upper arm. Well‑sprung ribs and moderate tuck‑up. Defined harness markings. Developing hindquarters with muscled thighs, good turn of stifle and low hocks. Free mover with good rear thrust and a harsh topcoat. Sturdy, masculine youngster with a promising future. BD, BOB. Pleased for shortlisted in the strong group.

2nd: 416 CHAPLAIN & CHAPLAIN’s, Aescwine Cor Blimey:  15‑month‑old proportionate male of good size with a still‑developing head. Wedge‑shaped head with a slight rounding over the skull and a muzzle of good length. Medium ears set a tad low, and oval eyes with moderate spacing. Muscled neck of good reach blending into a level topline and developing back. Tail well set from the croup. Forechest of good width, well‑laid shoulder and visible sternum. Good ribs and tuck‑up. Defined harness markings. Hindquarters developing well with strong thighs, good turn of stifle and low hocks. Good angulation front and rear. Oval, straightforward feet. Moved willingly for his handler. Fine head features and a sweet, appealing expression; he will mature into his frame.

Class 289 PGD/B (1,0)
1st: 417 CHAPLAIN & CHAPLAIN’s, Dr Roland Ruserns Riff Raff: Moderate male just 3 months short of 3 years old, well off for bone, proportionate with a refined profile. Attractive head, a clean blunt wedge with skull and muzzle in balance, and well‑defined facial markings. Dark oval eyes and well‑sized pricked ears enhance his watchful expression. Muscled neck of good reach flowing into a level topline and a high tail set on a gently sloping croup. Forequarters well developed oval chest, visible sternum and well‑laid shoulders. Forelegs parallel with a gentle slope to the pasterns. Hindquarters developed with muscled thighs, well‑bent stifles and low hocks. Strong feet. He moved with balance and good rear thrust. In good coat condition. He’s the most mature of the entry. I prefer the sturdiness and masculinity of junior class winner. RBD,RBOB.
