First of all I would like to thank the committee of GBAS for inviting me to their lovely, well organized show. I had two great ringstewards that made sure everything went smoothly in the ring. I haven’t been to this showground before, it was very spacious and organized to perfection. The only downside was that the surface of the floor in rings was rather slippery which impacted some of the dogs movements. I am sure some dogs in my ring would have performed differently outside or on another surface, but one can only judge the performance on the day. I also think it is a fantastic idea and opportunity that some breedclubs also organized their clubshows or open shows on the same day which gave the exhibitors of those breeds more changes after their long travel to Scotland. I think that is a winning concept to attract bigger entries.

My star of the day! Up to size bitch with the most beautiful head and expression, so balanced, correct stop, excellent amount of lips, good earset, well arched neck flowing into solid strong topline with correct tailset, textbook angulations, lovely forechest, well sprung ribs, deep body with good length, lovely bone and feet. It was especially on the move where she caught my eye, so coordinated with lovely ground covering reach and drive, parallel coming and going and her handler piloted her to perfection. She was not shown in full bloom on the day, but had the correct texture and clear tanmarkings, and my motto is, coat comes and goes, construction stays, she ticked so many of my boxes for the breed that I had no hestitation to award her the CC which was her crowning one I was told. Later on she also became my BOB as I really wanted to see her shine in the big ring.
