GUNDOG BREEDS ASSOCIATION OF SCOTLAND CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW

Thank you so much to the Committee of GBAS for the invitation to Judge Bitches at your very well run show, Ithoroughly enjoyed my day very much, I had some smashing quality Labradors, however I was concerned about the number carrying excess weight running through all the classes, some very nice girls lost out on higher placing for this reason a bit of excess weight I can be a bit lenient with but some were lil‹e table tops also some quite untypical heads cropping up which needs watching, we don't want to lose our beautifulgentle expression. Some of the dogs did not like the floor & some were a little stressed by it which did affect their movement. On a positive note, there were plenty carrying correct weight & plenty with good heads & movement was generally pretty good. My Co-judge Hans Stigt & myself fully agreed on every joint decision we had to make & it was a real pleasure to meet him & I will enjoythe present he so l‹indly brought for me.

1. Powell's Seatallan Ebony. Gorgeous baby with the sweetest head with correct eye colour onthis lovely black of 6 months, well put together with excellent coat, well ribbed & beautifully balanced, carrying the correct amount of weight, moved & showed extremely well, just right for her age, BPB she was in fact litter sister to our BPIB & daughter of my RCC.
2. Tulloch's Tullochmohr Thyme To Shine. Another smashing blacl‹, 8 months, very pleasant head although a touch rounder in eye than 1, well placed shoulder & good bone, well ribbed slightly longerthrough the couplings, has very well-turned stifles, carrying correct weight & a super coat with great tail, moved & handled very well.
3. Eal‹in’s Hillsidebrae Forget Me Not By I¢eribay.

1. Rawlinson & Balshaw's Halshimoor Wicl‹ed At Shannorrell. 11 months yellow, really beautifully put together with super coat & tail, nicely place shoulders, good bone, would like tighter feet but she is stilla baby, well ribbedshort coupled body, moved extremely well withstyle, carrying correctweight & very well handled, quite plain in head & lacking stop for me but the rest of her is super.
2. Williamson's Sharouns Gladys Friday. Love the name of this little cutie, 9 months paler yellow & built on very similar lines although in a smaller mould, I did prefer her head to 1, another carrying correct weight, very good coat & tail, smashing front & bone, she does need to grow into her feet, great bend of stifle, happy little soul, moved soundly.
3. Eakin'sH. Forget Me Not By IN.

1. Gordon-Smith & Bibby's Meadowline Whizz Bang At Bruxinho JW. Gorgeous 13 month black who is right up my street, super head & expression, lovelyreachy neck into well place shoulders, level toplinewith well ribbed shOFt coupled body, fab cat & very good tailwith a great turn of stifle, she moved with drive from strong hocks, beautifully balanced girl, she should have a bright future if she continues to develop along the same lines.
2. Bramble's Shaymiloney Saucy Olive. Another quality blacl‹ of 17 months, sweet head & eye, lovely sweep of neck, well boned forelegs with lovely neat feet, good through topline with nicely sprung ribs, well turned stifle with strong quarters, steady girl who moved well.
3. Jones’ Hafnau Odette.

1. Douglas’ Talard Whirlwind. 20 months quality nicely built, good sized yellow, sweet head & expression, great reach of neck onto wellplaced shouldeFs, nicely ribbed body, strong & firm hindquarters, smashing coat, moved & handled very well.
2. Campbell's Sh Ch Binnaig Sea Salt JW. Another super yellow very similar head to

1, built in a smaller mould, again lovely reachy necl‹, well sprung ribs & strong

quarters, slightlylonger coupled than 1, movedvery soundly.

2. Head's Q SapphireStorm. 3’° in YB, sweet headed black of 22 months, good reach of neck &well boned legs with very nice feet, carries a very good coat & tail is nicely put together although slopes off in topline more than I prefer, moved very well.

1. Rawlinson & Balshaw's Halshimoor Riff Ralf At Shannorrell. Good sized & very wellput together yellow,super necI‹ &shoulder, nicely ribbedshort coupled body with verywell muscled hindquarters, carrying correct weight, I would prefer her to have more stop& neater feet but she is a quality bitch who moves so soundly & with drive.
2. Druggan's Balladoole Black Lace. Smashing black, I did prefer her head to the winner but preferred the overall balanceof 1, strong neck, good topline & short coupled, in good coat, slightly more rounded quarters would help with her overall balance, moved soundly.
3. Tinlin-Thompson’s Cilurnum Tinto Flavia.

1. Pollock's Pollham Bracara. Medium sized yellow & stood alone but deserving of her1” place, very nice Labrador,sweet head &eye, straight frontwith enough bone, deep well ribbed body & strong through her quarters, smashing coat & tail, moved well although a little tentativeinparts which I put down to the floor.

1. Maclean's Afinmore Aguilegia. Good sized chocolate, smashing outline & overall conformation, fab reach of neck & well placed shoulders, enough bone & lovely feet, good firm topline with strongly muscled quarters, moved very soundly.
2. Gilroy's Claychalk Moneta. Smashing black built in a smaller frame than 1, very pretty head & expression, super reach of neck with nicely boned legs &neat feet, level topline, carries good coat & tail, well bent stifles & moved very well.
3. Pollock's Pollham Jump For Joy.

1. Powell's Clairstone Sweet Memory At Seatallan (dmn). Classic quality blacI‹, beautiful typical head & expression, super reach of neck with lovely rounded well bonedlegs & excellent feet, great springof rib & strong firm topline with powerful hindquarters, strong throughthe hock, great coat & tail, carryingcorrect weight & moved with drive RCC with pleasure.
2. Ennis-Holden & Lammens StandBy Me Of Misty Dreams.Super yellow of smashing size & balance, extremely pleasingto the eye, so nicely put together, super neck & shoulder placement, well boned legs, strong well ribbed body & great hindquarters, in good coat & condition, her movement was sound but she pinned in on her front movement which let her down but she is a lovely bitch.
3. Edwards' Forsywoods Ebony At Bearstone.

1. Campbell's Sh. Ch.Binnaig Buppsala JW. Lovely headed black, she has such a l‹ind & gentle expression, carries a great coat & correct amount of weight, she has good bone & neat feet, strong in body & she is slightly longer through the couplings & has a fab turn of stifle, she moved very soundly & with drive from strong hocks, handled & showedextremely well, very good Labrador. BCC & BOS
2. Woodley's Sh. Sh. Alkhamhurst London Girl. Super black who I like very much, today she was not in her full jacket which made the difference between these girls. She has just the sweetest head & expression, strong reachy neck is well ribbed & short coupled with great bend of stifle, moved very soundly.
3. Evans' Rom Bel Lux Ch. EminalaStar Struck Farnfield.

1. Jones’ Sh. Ch. Hafnau Georgette. Smashing black girl of 8 years, she is quite Matronly which unfortunately can happen to the girls but you can't take away her breed type.Lovely head & eye, good necl‹, bone & feet, she still has a decent topline & good quarters & moved well enough, she is heavierthan I would prefer but nevertheless she was worthy of her place.
2. Tinlin-Thompson’s Corridgebarn Tiger Lily. Nice sensiblechocolate of 7 years, her coat is very bleached in colour but is of correct texture & she has a great tail, nicely boned forelegs, nice enough head although round in the eye for my lil‹ing, she moved very well.
3. Packford-Garrett’s Tamazan Five Star.

1. Edwards's Forsywoods Ebony At Bearstone. Mature& pretty blacl‹placed 3’d in Limit, very good sort, she doesn't always make the best of herself, strong bone & neatfeet, coat of correct texture,has strong quarters& moved well.
2. Gunn's Exelby Elizabeth. Quite a small yellow, she has apleasant head & expression with smashing reach of neck, showed steadily & moved well, very pretty girl but is on the small side forme.
