Thank you to the society for giving me the opportunity to judge the breed at its 50th Anniversary Show and the exhibitors for their fabulous entry. As an allrounder, I set very much store by the overall construction and conformation of the beeed as well as what I consider to be the finer detail which sets the breed apart from others. In this respect, since I last judged the breed, I was pleased to find that dentition in the early classes was generally very good but disappointed that this did not carry through to the more senior classes as I would, normally, have expected.  Another point I feel I should mention, in particular,  is poor rear movement, the cause of which is possibly  poor construction or muscle weakness. Those dogs which, in my opinion, did not meet the required standard were duly penalised. However, I found some super dogs in my top winners and plenty more who, for whatever reason on the day, did not look their best.

WRIGHT, Ms Angela Monicachi Splash The Cash For Angique, correctly proportioned body with a level topline, good tail set and carriage, well domed with a narrow muzzle, good eye shape, well placed ears, good dentition, moved well, straight and true, would have preferred a little more forechest.

VD (2 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: MILTON, Mr & Miss D & J Int Ch Balt Est Lat Lit Pol The Golden Boy De Casa, very smart 7 year old. What struck me as he came into  ring was his overall body shape, super topline, tail set and carriage, on closer inspection, his head was typical of the breed, good eye, well placed ears and good dome, well developed forechest without being overdone, his coat was in lovely condition and, being well muscled with good angulation front and rear,  he strutted his stuff on the move straight and true, I was pleased to award him BVIB, 
2nd: HUNT, Mrs S Ch Diamonchi Button Moon For Moltobello, another 7 year old, slightly longer cast than 1, level topline, good tail set and carriage, very exhuberant, happy and alert, so much so that his movement was difficult to assess.


MPD (2 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: HALLS, Mrs A Jorazan Kairos Kooky Sox, 8 month young man of good body proportions, his head is developing well for age with well placed ears which he used to advantage, excellent dentition, well shaped eyes, nicely tapered muzzle, level topline, good tail set and carriage, good front and rear angles, he moved well, straight and true, unlucky to meet the more  mature winner of PD in the challenge, 2nd WRIGHT, Ms Angela Angique Cash On A Blue Moon, very raw 7 month baby with a good head shape, well placed ears, good shaped eyes, not the body shape I was looking for and was very unsettled on the move.


PD (6 Entries) Abs: 0
1st LANGFORD, Mr Darren John Boetandales Little Devil,  very neat, well put together well muscled young dog of 11 months, good dome developing, well placed ears, used to advantage, excellent dentition, good eye shape, good forechest, nicely arched neck led into well placed shoulders and level topline, well set on tail with good carriage, good rear angulation, happy and alert, he moved confidently, straight and true, I was pleased to award him BPD, unfortunately, the terrific rainstorm hammering on the roof upset him in the challenge for BPIB and he had to concede defeat by the very promising PB, 2nd: BURGOYNE, Mrs Julie D Hugachi Just William, this youngster of nine months is a little slighter in build than 1 but has a lot to like with a good overall shape, head needs to develop but he has well placed ears, good shaped eyes, excellent dentition and narrow muzzle, good angulation all round, he moved well, straight and true, 3rd CREW, Mrs Malgorzata Anadeia Ehrendil For Dreamcrewes

1st: HOLMES, Ms C M & PLATEK, Mrs J Laptek Whole Nine Yards At Cazants, litter brother to the CC winner, I really liked this very smart youngster, well balanced, he has a good head shape with developing dome, well placed ears, good eye shape, excellent dentition, nicely arched neck into good shoulder placement, level topline, tail set and carriage, he moved well straight and true, 2nd: ROONEY, Mr S J Copymear Conquistador With Yorone, 11 month puppy, longer cast than 1, still quite raw but a good head shape, ear placement and eye shape, happy and alert, needs to drop into himself, 3rd: BURROWS, Mrs Amanda Anadeia Ehlark At Lauloura

1st: HOLMES, Ms C M & PLATEK, Mrs J Laptek Cool Hand Luke At Cazants, just what I was looking for,  my star of the day! Happy and alert, this well balanced young man shrieked Chihuahua with his well developed apple dome, narrow muzzle, excellent dentition, nicely arched neck into well laid shoulders, level topline, well set on tail and good carriage, in lovely smooth coat, well muscled, with his good  rear angulation, he moved steadily and true, straight and parallel, I was pleased to award him the CC and BOB, 2nd: BURROWS, Mrs Amanda Anadeia Annael, another well put together dog with  good dentition, well angulated all round, level topline, good tail set and carriage, he moved straight and true, I just preferred the expression of 1, 3rd: WRIGHT, Ms Angela Monicachi Splash The Cash For Angique

1st: HICKS, Miss E Legado De Lagos Oh Dios Mio At Casiatodo (imp Esp), a strong contender for top honours, well balanced, typical head and expression, good dentition, good front and rear angulation, well muscled, nicely arched neck into level topline, good tail set and carriage, he moved straight and true, 2nd: BURROWS, Mrs Amanda Anadeia Eowyn At Lauloura JW, slightly smaller in stature than 1 but well balanced, lovely head shape, good dentition, well angulated all round, he moved well holding his topline, straight and true, 3rd: SKINNER, Mrs A T Davixity Ay Papi At Mujerosa Jw

1st: TAYLOR, Miss Isobel F Monicachi Destiny's Call, well balanced 8 month young lady, well proportioned pretty head, good ear placement, eye shape and dentition, well angulated all round, she moved well holding her topline, straight and true, happy and alert, 2nd: TYSON, Mr Craig & TYSON, Mrs Louise & TYSON, Miss Starceylon's Love Like Ours, reasonably well put together 7 month baby, difficult to go over as she was so nervous but,  from what I  could see, she had good angulation, level topline and good tail carriage.

Very smart, well put together with the prettiest of well shaped heads, excellent dentition, good forechest, nicely arched neck into level topline, good tail set and carriage, happy and alert, moved well straight and true, happy and alert,  I was please to award her BPB and BPIB, 2nd: Mrs K Hollichi Designer Destiny, another well balanced young lady of 9 months, pretty well shaped head, good dentition, well angulated all round, level topline, good tail set and carriage, moved out well, unlucky to meet the winner, 3rd: DALY, Mrs & Mr L S & M Lozmarchi Midnight Kiss

1st: CORBETT, Miss Mandy Starceylon Empress By Mandistarz JW, happy little girl with a well proportioned body, lovely head shape, good dentition, good  forechest, well angulated all round, level topline, good tail set and carriage, moved well, straight and true, 2nd:  DALY, Mrs & Mr L S & M Lozmarchi Midnight Orenda, well balanced, good dentition,  level topline, well set on tail carried well, moved straight anf true, I just preferred the expression of 1,  275 FAIRBAIRN, Mrs C Tidos Huntrix.

1st: OBRINGER, Mrs G Yue De Petit Roi Mojito Chiaffie Jw, well proportioned and balanced with a pretty head, excellent dentition, good front, well angulated all round, nicely arched neck into level topline, with good tail set and carriage, in excellent condition, well muscled, she moved well, straight and true, showed herself well, happy and alert, I was pleased to award her the RCC, 2nd: FELLONE, Miss Emma & PELLS, Mrs Kara Ahau Casa Grande Missvalentine La Rose At Emarachi, well balanced, pretty head, good dentition, well angulated all round, good tail set and carriage, not quite the positive movement of 1, 3rd: HOBBS, Mr Jordon Charonchi Miss Goldfire

1st: CONWAY, Miss Courtney Silverchi Dixie Darling, neat and well balanced, good head shape and dentition, well set on ears used to advantage, level topline, good tail set and carriage, well angulated all round, happy and alert, she moved well, straight and true, 2nd: Mrs K Hollichi Designer Baby, small but mighty with good muscle tone, many of the attibutes of 1 with her pretty head, good dentition, she is well angulated with a level topline, good tail set, not as settled on the move as 1,3rd: HALLS, Mrs A Jodeschi Sox Appeal At Jorazan
