I was honoured to be invited by the Driffield Committee to judge at their Golden Anniversary Show a day which I very much enjoyed and thank you to my two very efficient stewards. Thank you to the exhibitors for entering their lovely dogs for me to judge.  Both my dog and bitch CC winners were excellent examples of the breed and it  was a close decision between them for BOB.  The bitch won and I was delighted to see her short-listed in a strong Toy Group.   Also my Best Puppy was short-listed in the Toy Puppy Group.

1st: 44 WIGGINS, Mrs Jennifer Buffels Schwarz Wizardry For Scapafield

Mature 9 mth puppy.  Square in outline with tail  nicely curved over back.  Short neck into firm well developed body with good bone.  Correct hind angulation.  Attractive head with round dark expressive eyes and well set ears.  Coat coming along nicely.  Moved soundly with total confidence.  BPD and BPIB

Another nice puppy still very much a baby.  Short neck, compact body. level topline with correct tailset and moderate rear angulation.  Attractive head with monkey like expression, dark round eyes and neat well set ears. Good turn up of chin.  Good textured coat.  Moved happily and soundly.

Eye catching youngster of ideal size.  Well balanced in outline. Compact body, with well sprung ribs, moderate rear angulation, level topline and correct tailset.  Pleasing head and good expression, dark round sparkling eyes with neat well set ears and plenty of head furnishings.   Good turn up of chin.  Moved well coming and going.  RCC.

Another promising youngster.   Attractive well proportioned head,  round dark eyes and monkey like expression.  Compact body, short neck, and correct angulation. Well presented with coat of good texture.  Moved soundly with level topline and correct tail carriage.

Nice size.  Short neck flowing into compact body with good spring of rib. Masculine head with good expression. dark eyes and well set ears.  Nice turn up of chin. Good harsh textured coat.  Parallel movement coming and going. Level topline and good tail carriage.

Nice size.  Well developed body.  Pleasing head with round dark eyes. Harsh textured coat.   Kept level topline on the move but slightly wide in front.

Well balanced dog that stood four square. Short neck, firm well developed body with level topline and moderate hind angulation.  Masculine head with typical monkey like expression, dark eyes and well set ears.  Good harsh coat.  Presented a very attractive outline on the move.

Close decision between 1st and 2nd. Square bodied with level topline and good tail set.  Moderate rear angulation.  Attractive head with good proportions neat well set ears, dark eyes and plenty of head furnishings.  Confident and sound on the move. Preferred the overall balance and outline of 1st.

Beautiful quality dog presenting well balanced outline standing and on the move.  Compact body with well sprung ribs and moderate rear angulation.  Beautiful well proportioned head with mischievous dark sparkling  eyes and giving monkey like expression, neat well set ears.  Well presented harsh textured coat.  Moved parallel in both directions  with a lively confident attitude keeping level topline and correct tail carriage. Smart looking dog slightly smaller overall than 1. Square in outline. Well bodied with good rib and short backed.   Attractive head with dark eyes, good expression and neat high set ears. Nicely presented with coat of harsh texture.    Wasn't settled as he moved too quickly  round the ring spoiling outline.

Delightful 6 mth old baby at that raw leggy stage.  Feminine head with dark eyes and pleasing expression.  Well set ears.   Coat coming in nicely.  Steady and balanced on the move.

Smaller lively puppy.  Very pretty head with mischievous looking eyes. Nice size.  Bottom high when standing at the moment and hunched her backend up on the move which spoilt her movement and outline

Lovely puppy who stood four square.  Well developed body for age, straight front,  firm topline and nicely carried tail.   Good head proportions with dark sparkling eyes. Moved soundly presenting well balanced outline.   Unfortunately she lost her confidence in the  puppy challenge. 
2nd: 16 SHENNAN, Miss V Ashiblack Be My Baby another very attractive puppy. Compact in body and nice size.   Coat of good harsh texture.  Lovely head with mischievous expression.  Lively on the move.

Two bitches of completely different type headed this line up.  Lovely square  well bodied youngster with good spring of rib, firm topline and good hind angulation.  Liked her head and dark expressive eyes.  Neat well set ears.  Moved soundly,   Her well balanced outline as she moved round the ring won her the class.

Smaller size.  Square in body shape but lacking muscle tone.  Attractive head and expression.  Dark eyes, neat ears.  Lost her topline standing and on the move.

Very similar in type and body shape to 1.  NIce head and good expression with upturn of chin. Lots of head furnishings.  Moved soundly with good topline.  Preferred more balanced outline of 1.

Found this bitch very appealing although a bit short of  coat today.  Square and well bodied with good spring of rib.  Straight front.   Liked her head and cheeky expression.  Steady and sound on the move. RCC
