I would like to thank the Officers and committee for inviting me to judge a breed that is very close to my heart.

Overall I was happy with my main winners who I felt were excellent examples of the breed. However, there are a couple of points that  I feel the need to comment on. Firstly, tail set and tail carriage has certainly become an issue with the tail carriage  well above the level of the back and certainly not lashing from side to side.  Secondly, hindquarter angulation in a number of exhibits was extreme certainly not typical of the breed.

Class 921 MPD (6 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1751 HILL, Miss V & HILL, Mrs A & HILL, Miss L Kanix Sourdough With Calaquendi Jw Be Jr Ch - Dog that when I checked the catalogue realised I had judged him before as a puppy. He has certainly matured well. He has a super masculine head which is balanced throughout, neck long and muscular, straight forelegs with good strength to his pasterns, front assembly is spot on which allows him to move freely with clear reach and his rear angulation complements that and the correct lashing tail carriage completes a picture of balance.  No hesitation in awarding him the CC.
2nd: 1790 WESTAWAY, Ms Penny Sh Ch Teisgol Keep On Going Via Penwest JW - Another on checking the catalogue realised I had judged before and so unlucky to meet the first on tip top form. Lemon & white full of breed type, finer than first but still balance throughout, head balanced with kind expression and defined stop. Muscular neck leading into well laid back shoulders, depth to his chest with well sprung ribs carried well back. Forelegs straight with sloping pasterns. Strong quarters with correct angulation. Muscular neck into well placed shoulders, depth to her chest with a good spring of ribs, muscular loin enough rear angulation and hocks well let down. The strong class of the day with unfortunately quality bitches missing out on the cards such was the strength.
1st: 1725 ADAMS, Mr Kyle Joneva Just One Wish - O/w who painted a balanced picture both stacked and on the move where she covered the ground effortlessly with her lashing tail. Her head is balanced but I would prefer more width to her foreface. Just needed a little less condition, however, I couldn’t deny her the RCC.
