About This Show

DRIFFIELD CHAMPIONSHIP DOG SHOW 2024

Dear Exhibitors,
Following the abandonment and subsequent cancellation of Driffield Championship Dog Show, the Principal Officers have held a meeting to look at the whole situation.
May I thank everyone for their patience and on-going support as we work through the process.
After receiving overwhelming messages and emails offering support, it was decided that the show should go on in future years.
There have been requests for refunds but sadly these must be deferred until after all the expenses and costs to cover the preparation of the show itself and the showground.
However, any exhibitor wishing to be considered for a refund of Entry Fees must send a request to the Secretary to be received on or before Friday 30th September 2024.
Once this date has passed, an evaluation will be made as to the amount of remaining funds  available and those having requested a refund will be informed of the amount due per exhibit.

Kind regards

K.Derry

Hon Secretary.

DRIFFIELD SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO STRONG WINDS, ALL 4 DAYS. There has been severe damage on the show field, so for exhibitors safety with regret the show has been cancelled.
Driffield Championship Dog Show 2024

Following the abandonment of the show site, after consultation with the Tenting Contractor, the Society were advised to ensure that all persons were removed from the site to a safe place, which was quickly done.
It was clear that the Show would not be able to take place for two days due to the tents requiring to be inspected, re-positioned and re-erected and as such following the advice given, cancellation was the only option.
As a committee we have much work to do in the coming weeks, in order to get the full picture of how this catastrophic event will impact the Society. We respectfully ask that sufficient time is given to us in order to do this.
Driffield has always tried to maintain a great relationship with its exhibitors and partners – without them nothing would happen.
A further statement will be released in due course.

Regards

K.Derry
Hon Secretary
