I would like to thank all the exhibitors for giving me such a good entry, especially when some shows were struggling for entries.

I was very pleased with my major winners and from an entry of 44 there were only nine absentees, all but one of which were bitches.

When we agree to judge at shows governed by RKC rules we assess the exhibits fitness for purpose, in our case we have a hunting breed and as such should be capable of running all day with the hunter and still have the strength to hold a wild boar.  Some of the exhibits would have found this difficult. Some were very untidy on the move mainly due to poor handling and moving them too quickly. I did notice that some of the exhibits stood with their tails under their bellies, probably a sign that they would rather be at home.

The KC asks that Dane judges complete a ‘Breed Health Monitoring’ form reporting on conformation defects of the eyelids.  There were some loose eyelids and deep-set eyes, which would allow dust and grass seeds to get in and cause irritation.

1.Donnelly’s Primus Roll The Dice. Very mature puppy and very masculine. Correct head planes, strong, crested neck, good shoulder angulation, strong body, Moved with a good long stride.

2.Bartley’s Nikami Papa Smurf ATELIB. A smart brindle with well-defined markings, not as mature as 1. Needs to develop more hind angulation.

3.Pendleton-Watkins’ Goldania’s King of Drago.

1. Donnelly’s Primus Proper Job. A strong head and body, good top-line, well developed chest, didn’t look very settled.

2.McGinness & Nelson’s Dinatron Mother’s Pride. Slighter than 1, good head and expression, moderate angulation, seemed very excitable.

3.Bailey’s Primus Party Like Gatesby.

1.Lipman & Booth’s Rimor Aurelius. Another brindle with clear markings, elegantly built, good top-line. Moved out well in profile.

2.Gilbert’s Lomondane Chuff Tae Bits. Good head planes, great top-line, well set on tail.

3.Young’s Lomondane Dinnae Bother.

1.Dyson’s Ch Samdice Nobody Does It Betta. A big, strong but elegant male, with correct shoulders, top-line and rear angulation. Tail set high and carried well.  Moved correctlyl, single tracking at all times and strode out in profile. An outstanding exhibit, CC and BOB.

2.Ferguson’s Elitedaimos Magick Mago At Chateaudain. An elegant blue when standing and kept up the appearance of elegance on the move. Still a youngster (just under 2 years) should mature into an excellent specimen.

1.Bourton-Thorne’sCh Zefather Crazy Diamond For Verano. Seven and a half years old and looking well for her age. 

She is well angulated, full bodied but not over-weight, good head and expression.

1.Dyson’s Primus Diamonds Are For Ever. A very pretty, well-marked brindle with a lovely head, carried her ears well giving her an alert expression. A straight back and correct angulation helped her move well.

Junior - Bitch

1.Dyson’s Primus Bond Girl With Samdice.  Another well marked brindle, sister to previous class winner. Very similar but didn’t settle as well and refused to single track on the move.

2.Lawson’s Murrayvayle Missbehave At Droolakiss. A well bodied fawn with good angulation and movement.

3.Evans’ Belarosedane Lady Bayleigh.

1.Harrison’s Rioco My One And Only To Jasnettdanes JW. Good head-planes, and a pleasing expression set off by a good top-line, and angulation, moved with drive. She just sparkled in the ring.

2.Cubitt’s Zebeldanes Paint It Black. Moderately well-bodied, with moderate angulation, good top-line and tail set.

3. Clark’s Garsak On Fire At Mintrex.

1.Fletcher’s Justinian Bea My Sweetheart. An eye-catching bitch with correct angulation, lovely head and expression, Strong back, good tail-set and hind angulation making for excellent movement; single tracking and with drive. I understand this was her third ticket, and well deserved.

2.Herrring’s Noziaro Alula. The most striking feature of this exhibit was her deep-set eyes giving her an unusual expression. Correct angulation and good mover.

3.Morgan’s Rimor Athena’s Kyss.

1.Young’s Roucandane Summer Breeze. A heavier set bitch with good movement and all-round angulation; pleasing head and expression.

2.Martin’s Keishant Venus. Taller that winner and slighter built, I liked her front piece but her movement on the day let her down.
