Judging: Driffield Puppy Stakes, Hound Group

AV Hound/Utility Puppy Dog (25 Entries) Abs: 9
1st: Yacoby Wright Cobyco Catch Your Eye, this 10 month cream male certainly does catch your eye, a very promising puppy who presents a beautiful picture both on the stack and on the move and has everything in the right place. He has a masculine head and dark oval eye, scissor bite, small rose shaped ears of correct texture, long neck into well laid-back shoulder, deep chest with good fill, good spring of rib, straight forelegs with slight spring to pastern. Beautiful curves and balanced angulation front and rear. Well developed second thigh and long tail. Moves with reach and drive and true on the down and back. Has a bright future and pleased to award him Overall Puppy for the day.
2nd: Roberts Mytilene Back to Black into Marbledale, nice black puppy male, beautiful head with medium shaped dark oval eye, head furnishing over the eye, correct broad bite with teeth in alignment, arched neck with the required arch into shoulder, good forechest and depth, straight forelegs, level topline, balanced angulation front and rear, tail set on high, moved with that free and jaunty movement, look forward to watching him mature.
3rd: McPherson & Paterson Antonius Vertragus The-Ngong-Hills (IMP FRA)

AV Hound/Utility Puppy Dog (46 Entries) Abs: 19
1st: Clark-MacLean & Sanchez Jos Kyodai Fiamma NAF (Sp Imp), I was smitten by this 8 month old bitch, I kept looking around the ring and was drawn to her. I loved the shape she presented on the stack. She has a large broad head, defined stop, almond shaped small eyes, scissor bite, small triangular ears which when carried forward is in line with the back of the neck, long muscular neck into well laid shoulders, correct body proportions, balanced angulation front and rear, tight well knuckled feet, tail set on high, moves with powerful stride, still a baby but so much to come from her.
2nd: Parsons Priorpark Poetry in Motion JW, another bitch that I completely fell for, again presented a lovely shape on the stack providing a symmetrical outline, she has a feminine head of fair length and flat skull, reasonably well defined stop, round eyes, ears rather high set, scissor bite, strong neck of good length into well laid shoulder, forelegs straight, elbows close to body, deep chest, balanced angulation front and rear, displayed the free and active movement required. Another with a bright future.
