DARLINGTON DOG SHOW SOCIETY. 18-09-26. As always David and Stuart and committee, provide a warm welcome and a very efficient well-run show, with immaculate rings.

LEONBERGER

I really enjoyed this delightful breed, all the dogs had a wonderful temperament, which is what I would expect.  
Class 1913 PD (5 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 5035 STUDHOLME, Mr L R & HARPER, Mr J & LORING, Mr J g La Dolce Luna's Color Of Wise Force At Kalizmar (i.11-month, with a lovely head of good length and shape, plus the clean eye with solid welcoming expression. He has dry filled neck that goes smoothly through lay of shoulder and return of upper arm providing neat elbow, to withers. 
2nd: 5018 CHARWIN, Mrs Debbie & DAVIES, Mrs Pippa Jarno Bcoz Its My Time At Debbollinby. Strong, fit with super bone, decent legs and feet and turned out in grand body coat. He has a lovely disposition and worked with charming shape. I therefore feel the breed is looking healthy for the future with this class.

Class 1915 PGD (1 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 5023 HARWOOD, Miss C Lendevers Spring Tide. A big black nose at the end of this typical masculine head, with nothing overdone. He has decent bone, correct depth to leg. Could have a touch more angulation behind to balance with shoulder angulation. He was well turned out in clean, healthy coat and he worked well with handler going round.

These 3 were at different stages and different attitudes to the job today
1st: 5008 BELL, Mrs Judith Cleon Canis Giganotos. masculine dog with pleasing head piece, has strength and length, ears set well, clean eye of good shape and colour giving a kind appearance. Tapering muzzle with strength in jaw. He has decent angles both ends and good ribbing. Moved with good stride, working with handler to put on a lovely performance. 
2nd: 5014 BURRELL, Miss C & BURRELL, Mrs Ann Kalizmar The Hitch Hiker. This powerful, well-constructed dog, has balance of leg to depth and good bone and feet.  He really appealed in head and proportions. He would insist in softening in topline at times, which lost him his place. However, he moved with easy action and smooth ground cover. As I said, each had attributes here.

1st: 5036 STUDHOLME, Mr L R & RUSHBY, Miss Kerry Ch Corleone Navigator At Kalizmar (imp Can) (Can I. Bloody hell, he stepped away. What a beautiful dog. Yes, I have seen him before from a distance and didn’t know who he was until later, but to lay hands on and go over, he is classic in all departments, I feel, even if you closed your eyes, you would know that. Produced and worked, with handler to an exacting picture. CC & BOB.
2nd: 5029 SIMMONDS, Mr Andrew & SIMMONDS, Mrs Pauline Ch Skjaergaardens Dance Monkey Dance Jw. You know what, it would be hard to get past the winner, but this strong shapely dog can stand his ground so well. He has type, quality in abundance and that calmness standing and moving, construction that deems his movement is economical and fluid with good deportment. I first class order and coat.  Res CC.

Class 1918 VB (1 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 5020 COLE, Mrs J Ch Averkate Kassandra With Simden (Imp Rus)7 ½. Lovely bitch, with moulded head, good eye set and gentle outlook, down to tapering muzzle, open nostril and big black nose. She is firm, strong and feminine in stature, well turned out and went with an enjoyable gait.   BVIB.

Class 1919 PB (4 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 5034 STUDHOLME, Mr L R La Dolce Luna's Color Of Kind Heart At Kalizmar (i. 11-momnth who pleased in head, long clean, and has femininity. She had the maturity to claim her win and presented a totally balanced outline. She stands on good legs and feet, with correct depth from withers to leg and neat fitting elbow from angulation of shoulders. Complimentary angulation behind with good length of tail, width of thigh and strong hocks. Free smooth stride. BPIB.
2nd: 5017 CHARWIN, Mrs D Debbollinby A Lion's Tale. 6-month so giving a lot away in maturity against the winner, but this is definitely one with a future, as the type and skeletal construction is all there. She was just right in bone and body for age and has a quality coat to finish. Handler gave her confidence and she moved with style and correct tail carriage.  I really liked her. 
Class 1920 JB (2 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 5031 SIMPSON, Mrs Lesley Debbollinby Crafty Ideas For Simberger. 14-month. She has a balanced clean head, correct ear set and skull, smoothly tapering to strong muzzle. Lovely make and shape, strong bone and well bodied with balance and retaining femininity. Holds her profile and uses herself well, with long easy gait.  2nd: 5037 TEMPLE-SCOTT, Ms D M Jomiriclus Sensational. Lovely expression from well-placed eye. She has neck to withers from the layback of shoulder and balance of depth to leg, which have good bone. Just not holding her outline quite as well as the winner. Her day will come. 

Class 1921 PGB (2 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 5011 BODLE, Mrs B & CHARWIN, Mrs D Debbollinby Charbella. I notice this Affix featured a lot in this list of winners and this young bitch did not disappoint. Ok, she is not fully matured yet, but her quality and class could not be disputed and I felt well deserved rewarding.  Every part has strength and balance. She is firm and muscled, with quality bone and excellent foot placement standing and moving. She has a sensible assured attitude, moves with ease and deportment with correct tail carriage.  Jw. 2nd: 5009 BENNETT, Miss R E Prideofelsa Amber Heart At Leoflaed. looking a little racy today. She is feminine throughout and strong. A touch long in loin which affects overall balance. She has width of rump and handler moved her at just the right pace.

4 lovely bitches and nit picking between them.

1st: 5038 WEAVER, Mrs Susan Kaye & WEAVER, Mr Michael Ch Simden Maida Girl Like You. Didn’t know this one or what she had achieved, but the handler was quick to tell me afterwards. She is strong, totally balanced and presented in full bloom and excellent condition, body and muscle. She never put a foot wrong and displayed a grand outline, with correct tail carriage.  CC.
2nd: 5033 STUDHOLME, Mr L R Ch Velikty Medved Angara Hug Kalizmar ( Imp Rus). Really lovely headed bitch and produced in first class order. She was handled to advantage and moved at a perfect gait, holding her shape and matching the winner in stride. beautifully turned out .I reckon these could change places often.
