Head is in balance with flat skull broad forehead, muzzle broad and strong with well developed cheeks. Almond shaped eyes. Erect thick triangular ears, carried correctly. Thick and muscular neck into moderately laid back shoulders, elbows tight, slight incline in pastern as required.  Chest wide and deep, good forechest, strong level back, well muscled short loin, moderate angulation in rear, well developed in thigh and strong hocks.  tail large and full and set high.  Standing he is a picture of power  strength and breed type, moving he powerful, and fluent.   Delight to go over, joy to watch on the move, male of exceptional quality.
2nd: 2962 SIMPSON, Mrs Christine Rominjay King Of My Heart, Striking red male.  He is all dog and gave winner a run for his money.  He is sucha typical and quality Akita, great size, substance and power.  Super sound in rib, topline and tail, well off for bone, loved his strong head, good eye shape and balanced muzzle.  so sound and typical on the move. 1st: 2948 BEVIS, Ms F & BEVIS, C & CORR, R Am Ch/ch Sondaisa Sheza Blazin Hot At Nakodo, Red / White, 8year old but looking far younger than her years.  Feminine without any loss of power and substance, just right for size, totally correct in outline, deep wide rib, proper forechest, strong level back, well muscled all through, super high set tail carried over her back.  Her head is balanced, good flat skull, correct ear set and size, lovely almond shaped eyes and strong muzzle.   On the move she is quite something, sound  powerful and fluent.  Res Bitch CC

1st: 2951 DAVIES, Mr P Shinzam Iona Queen, very attractive silver and black 7 month old puppy, correct for size and outline, plenty of substance, loved her head shape and balance for one so young.   Correct in eye shape and ear shape and placement, good strong neck let into moderately laid shoulder angle, strong back and deep wide rib, correct tail set, so sound and typical on the move, very promising baby.
2nd: 2963 WILSON, Miss Alicia Shinzam Highland Queen With Inveralicia, litter sister to above and the same lovely silver and black colouring, these two baby girls are very alike and share all the same positives in construction and type, on the day just preferred the more steady movement of 1, but I suspect they will change places many times over the next year or two.

1st: 2954 DUFFIELD, Mrs N & Mr E Ch Meiho's Flame Of A Legend, red/white mature, all quality and breed type.  Such a picture standing and she didn't disappoint going over her.  Her head is  strong, balanced and feminine, flat skull, good broad forehead, strong and broad muzzle, well developed cheeks, dark almond eye well set, thick triangular ear, set just right, nicely arched strong neck into moderately laid shoulders, strong round bone and good feet, deep and wide rib, proper forechest, strong and level back and well muscled loin, all balanced with a powerful and muscular rear which she uses to good effect on the move.  She is so sound, powerful and fluent on the move, just loved watching her.  She is a thrill to watch.  Bitch CC.

2nd: 2960 MCLAREN, Mrs H & Mr J Ir Ch Geilsaven Chantilly Lace Ir J Ch,  impressive bitch who did not behave all that well, she was very unsettled, ( it was windy in the tent), however I forgave her as she is just such a beauty and so typical of the breed. Powerful, right for size and substance, feminine, strong in body, well muscled all through and when she did decide to move sound and fluent.
