SPANIEL (IRISH WATER). DARLINGTON 25. As always, the team run a slick show in this beautiful setting.

Class 1991 PD (1 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 5352 DAVIES, Ms Emma & DAVIES, Mrs Hilary Stanegate Sweetest Thing At Shelseivad. 11-month with a great personality, so very much what you would want at this stage. Loved his head, he is so well constructed and turned out in condition and excellent coat. He wasn’t always in control of his legs, but saw enough to see that he has good foot placement, at times! That’s all that’s needed at this stage. When he fills his frame, he will be a force to be reckoned with. Full of Irish charm. BP.

Class 1992 JD (2 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 5349 BRADLEY, Mrs Linda & BRADLEY, mr Paul Nyllaup Oregon Sunstone. The right dog, in the right place on the right day. He has very masculine skull, but young enough he will mature into it, he pleases in eye, expression and muzzle. He has a very good forehand, with angulation, big ribs and sound behind with muscle and short strong hocks. So well presented in body and his coat of tight crisp curls He has the type and performance to win here with ease therefore I was delighted to award him the CC. 
2nd: 5360 MCCALLUM, Mr Fraser & MCCALLUM, Mrs Julie Bogbairns Down The Rabs At Weemaes. Masculine, correct skull, would like stronger jaw. He had decent bone, well sprung rib, and good body properties. He went round nicely, but a touch untidy behind and would prefer shorter, strong hocks.  

Class 1995 OD (3 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: 5356 HACKETT, Mr J & WILLIAMS, Mrs Angela Sh Ch Curlyco My Hot Rock Star. Liked his size and did present type in outline and balance. He has a good eye, expressive and has good nasal passages and big nose. He has good angulation both ends and decent body to correct tail. He moved with purpose and typical sound gait.    RES CC.
2nd: 5353 DUCKMANTON, Mr Bob & DUCKMANTON, Mrs Marion Sh Ch Cuboglach Sandy Wave. Rather strong in skull for me. he was nicely put together and well turned out in shapely body. He was handled to advantage to go round with decent carriage.  
Class 1996 VB (1 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 5363 WEAVING, Mrs M & Mr A Ir Sh Ch Kandalin Golden Storm CW23. Lively and was a little unsettled going round. Could have a better mouth and unfortunately was missing some coat.BV.

Class 1999 PGB (2 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: 5354 FOODY, Mrs Carolyn Cairteila Look At Me Now. How lovely is this 22-month, super head piece with a twinkle in her eye, she has a strong tooth and filled muzzle with neat lips. So well-constructed with complementary angles both ends, has depth to neat elbow with big ribs and short strong loin. Muscled and strength through quarters. She has carriage and easy ground cover, with total commitment to handler. A super dense curled coat and handled so well.   RES CC.

Class 2001 OB (4 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 5348 BRADLEY, Mrs Linda & BRADLEY, mr Paul Sh Ch Stanegate Stage Debut (ai) ShCEx. Yes, ok, she fits the standard, is expertly produced in fit hard condition, but it’s when she moves that really sets her apart. You just can’t stop taking it She is flipping special and all credit to her handler and clever breeder, putting her in such good hands. in. CC-BOB.
2nd: 5351 CARRUTHERS, Mrs J Sh Ch Stanegate Standing Ovation. Well, the quality, in this breed is dominated by this affix, certainly today.  Exhibitors might not like me saying this, but take off the rose-coloured glasses and look. Type, balance and construction, this one has it. She is not as forward in her head as the top winning bitches today ,but she is a poper IWS and she is young and her sympathetic handler has no reason to rush. Standing she matches all the way and moving she is so very sound, but just lacked the total concentration. Immaculate presentation and coat.
