This turned out to be a long awaited appointment after missing two appointments due to COVID and the weather so at last I got my hands on some Gordons! I was very pleased with the entry number and quality. I appreciate every exhibitor who took the time and effort to prepare their dogs for me to judge,thankyou.

Overall I found some variations in head,mainly not quite right in proportions with long and sometimes narrow forefaces. The majority of dogs had dark eyes meaning overall expressions were typical with the soft expression we desire in a Gordon. 

I found toplines generally to be good,some slightly steep croups but mostly they were correct and not flat either which is also incorrect in a galloping breed. I did find some exhibits too narrow for my preference,they are a weight carrying hunter and I want to feel that in a Gordon - something which is not always noticeable from the ringside. 

Thankyou to the committee for the hospitality and thankyou to my helpful and efficient stewards . It was lovely to have the BIS ring which offered a super space for the dogs to really move out. However,some exhibits found the carpet slippery and this hindered some on the stack.

Another boy with a pleasing outline,not quite the head of 1 but lovely soft expression.  Arched neck,well bodied with broad hindquarters. Clear tan,lovely colour. Moved freely.

Litter brother,preferred his head to 1 but 1 was just a little more together today. He appealed in body and topline,lovely colour with clear tan and gleaming black coat. Moved well. These two are bound to change places as they grow and develop.

This boy did himself no favours today as he kept bunching himself up on the stack affecting his neck and topline,possibly not feeling comfortable on the carpet. He has a masculine head with a dark eye and low set ears. Clear tan with good coat coming,flat bone. Moved steadily.

Just what I was looking for. Lovely outline showing balance and type. Well proprtioned head with well defined stop and dark eye giving a soft expression. Well arched neck,well placed shoulder with deep brisket,well sprung ribs and elbows well let down. Firm back ,broad hindquarters and good tailset. Good colour and correct coat. On the move he moves freely with good length of stride. Shown in tip top condition to just pip his litter brother. Delighted to award him the DCC and BOB.

Her movement is effortless and she moved with such style to take this quality class.  Delighted to award her the BCC. For BOB,she challenged well,I just went with the type of the dog.
