CITY of BIRMINGHAM  25. A busy lively show, with great organisation so no messing the finals, every day were done and finished, so exhibitors could be on their way home. Well done and thank you.

BASSET GRIFFON VENDEEN (PETIT)

Class 837 SBD (1 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 1633 WHEELER, Mrs Helen Teresa Probert Doc Martin. Only 7-months, but think this handler will have a lot of fun with him as he fits the breed so nicely. He has personality to show his worth and a good head piece, with lovely expression correct skull and leathers. He has bone, good legs and feet, correct depth and length of rib to short filled loin. All this makes for a typical outline. He has a joyous action with decent foot fall.

Class 838 VD (2 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 1610 BARTLEY, Mr Tim & BARTLEY, MRS Deborah Erylan Loki Maitre Du Mal VW. 8 ½. Years. To go over, still firm and shapely.  He pleases for head with ears set low and not too long. Good muzzle with strong jaw. He is well boned, soundly made of good proportions and moved with carriage. 
2nd: 1620 MOORE, Mrs Emma Afterglow Dough Ble Impact. He is well bodied and presented. Just a little longer in muzzle and long than the winner, but he is well angulated and moved very well. 

Class 839 PD (3 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 1626 REID, Mr P & Mrs D Maudaxi Mr Brightside.ahe has a clean, masculine head with good eye, well placed ear, not too long. He has body, good length and spring of rib, good topline and width of rump. Lively sound mover .in good condition and thick coat.  
2nd: 1632 WATSON & KENNA, Mr & Mrs S D & A S Cynetkoy Charlie Brown. He has lots going for him in type and style. Very good head finishing at strong jaw, good nasal passages and big nose. he is right for body proportions to super tail and carriage. Sound moving with attitude. Just needs to finish to complete the picture. 
3rd: 1633 WHEELER, Mrs Helen Teresa Probert Doc Martin

Class 840 JD (1 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 1616 BROWN, Miss S & BROWN, Mr C & BROWN, Mrs L Vysaris Baccus Dieu Du Vin. 13-momth. He has oval skull, ears the right length and correct muzzle. He is a touch steep in shoulder blade, has a firm body with long ribs. Well turned out in decent coat. BJ.

1st: 1631 WATSON & KENNA, Mr & Mrs S D & A S Cynetkoy's Heihei.2-years I would prefer a slightly shorter foreface. Lovely expression. He has well laid shoulders, neat elbows, good leg to depth and decent quarters. Presented very well and went with good personality. 
2nd: 1616 BROWN, Miss S & BROWN, Mr C & BROWN, Mrs L Vysaris Baccus Dieu Du Vin. Repeat. 

Class 842 LD (3 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 1624 REID, Mr P & Mrs D Maudaxi Billy Bookcase. He is a Petit and could be no other breed. Smaller end of the scall but so lovely to go over and has a really balanced shape. He was so well bodied, fit, correct rib, strong loin, giving correct backline and he has a rounded rump with strong tail set. He moves with good character and worked with handler.  RES CC.
2nd: 1630 SCOTT, Mrs Lynne & SCOTT, Mr Jacob & SCOTT, Mr Tob Overbecks Finn Shelby. To go over he is a decently made dog. Not quite the balance of the winner and would like a stronger rump. He worked the ring nicely to show his worth. 
3rd: 1618 DANE, Mr Paul Spencer & GUERNARI, Ms Lisa Cynetkoy's Tinker Tailor

 

Class 843 OD (2 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 1617 DALGARNO, Mrs & Miss C Vencharno Stuck On You – He has type, personality and balance. Good neck, depth to leg and has brisket, well sprung ribs to short muscular loin and good bum and tail set and he used his tail to advantage, enhancing his self-assurance and shape on the move, which also has reach and drive. Presented in super coat and condition, all male and clean through. CC
2nd: 1613 BARTLEY, Mr Tim & BARTLEY, MRS Deborah Erylan Poseidon De La Mer. This dog has a masculine, clean, well balanced typy head and was in first class order, fit, muscled and has lovely disposition. He is made right, therefore moves right. Just a little longer in loin than the winner.

Class 844 GCD (1 Entries) Abs: 0. 
1st: 1611 BARTLEY, Mr Tim & BARTLEY, MRS Deborah Erylan Zeus Roi Des Dieux ShCEx. 7 ½-years, masculine, soundly built dog produced so well. He has easy, smooth gait with pleasing personality. I liked so much about him, would prefer a shorter loin.

1st: 1621 MOORE, Mrs Emma Probert Calypso.This 3-year-old had the edge in maturity over the winner in the S.B. dog to win. She appeals in head, is feminine throughout, without being weak. She has bone, legs and good depth and body. She went with purpose going round, maybe a touch close behind today, but overall fits the bill. BSB.

1st: 1628 SCOTT, Mrs Lynne Ch Overbecks Kathy Tiere. This 8 ½ - year bitch made me smile; she has such an endearing personality. She is typical throughout from her lovely head, correct proportions and lively smooth action. Still has shape and is fit. She well deserved to win here. BV.

Class 847 PB (2 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 1619 HUIKESHOVEN, Mrs Anouk & ALLENBY, Mrs Heidi Jour Apres Jour Twice As Nice. Well, yes, she is twice as nice. Lovely head, skull, dark eye with a spark if mischief, fine, supple leathers, she has stop and is just right in muzzle with strong jaw. Neck flows through lay of shoulder with return of upper arm to provide neat elbow. She has spring and depth of rib, good leg length and stands on neat padded feet. So balanced with femininity coupled with strength. Excellent deportment and foot fall. BP.
2nd: 1625 REID, Mr P & Mrs D Maudaxi Rebel Diamonds. Not quite the overall finish of the winner. She has a very appealing head, presented in good body for age and was turned out well. Maybe just needs to come up on leg a touch. She goes with purpose and style.

1st: 1629 SCOTT, Mrs Lynne & BRUNDLE, Mrs Susan Overbecks Ruby Shelby. Liked lots about this 18-month. She could be a bit of a ‘teenager’ at times, which if fine with me, I saw what I needed to, it’s living, not a machine! She has overall balance with legs and type, presented in good order and everything fits together the right way. Think she will mature on in a good way.

1st: 1627 ROBERTSON, Mrs S & ROBERTSON, Miss E & ROBERTSON, Soletrader Dolly Parton. Whilst all 3 have quality and appeal, this one stood away. She is so feminine and exudes type in all departments, exacting in presentation – and then- on the move she, steps up a gear and puts on a first-class exhibition; Of reach, drive, power and demeanour. Couldn’t get past her for the CC, BOB.
2nd: 1623 REID, Mr P & Mrs D Maudaxi Joanie Loves Chacha JW. Again, type and quality spring to mind.  Beautiful head, great outlook, excellent proportions, in fact not a lot to change here. She was put down in hard muscular body and coat that remains rough, but still allowing her good shape to show. Worked the ring with handler to produce a satisfying display. RESCC.
