I would like to thank the officers and committee of City Of Birmingham Canine Association for inviting me to judge my first Best In Show here. It was an honour and a pleasure to be here with you all.
A big thank you to all the exhibits for returning today and making my line ups quality and complete. Credit to you all for turning your dogs out so well.
I had 7 wonderful group winners across the puppy groups who I believe will all have a bright and successful future sent through to me by Mr D Smith.
After examination and individual movement Best puppy in show went to the fabulous Affenpinscher bitch, SANTORIELLO, Mr Domenico & ISHERWOOD, Mr Tom Afterglow Alma's Not Normal For Pinicio. This girl never stopped showing. A gorgeous expression, eyes full of sparkle and on her toes at all times. Held her shape wonderful in profile, outstanding puppy who I will watch with interest.
Reserve best puppy in show went to the superb bearded collie dog, LEWIS, Mrs Janet & LEWIS, Mr Michael Potterdale Prime Legacy. Well balanced dog, excellent forehand, a very good mover and firm top line held on the move for one so young. In excellent coat and condition.
Moving on to Best in show where I was presented with 7 quality exhibits that were a joy to go over. Best in show could not be denied for the outstanding Doberman male, of which he is all male.
JONES, Mrs A L & USHAKOVA, Ms Irina - Ch Lux Ch Bel Ch Korifey Vanquish Jw. Excellent body lines, on the very best of legs and feet, housing solid weight and conditioning, displaying perfect muscle tone. Foot perfect when moving fore and aft with drive and precision. A joy to watch in profile- a credit to his owners and handler.
Reserve went to another flashy male, the pointer, who put out all the stops for his awards today.
ODDIE, Miss A - Sh Ch Sharnphilly Boondoggle JW - lovely head and tail carriage. Another in excellent body weight, muscle tone and condition. When moving near perfect footfall. Superb profile and showmanship. At one with his handler and was a pleasure to award two fabulous dogs such high honours today.
