Not a large entry today but no absentees & all were sound & healthy. Good to see size is not going back to large bulky hounds who could not do a days work. Small but quality entry.

1st: 217 WILKINSON, Miss C & HANNEY-MITCHELL, Mrs F & WAKEH Bronia Luciano

a young male with most lovely head, eye & ear, strength of jaw, in good body shape & condition, large feet, good length of breast bone, scored well in shoulder placement with good length of upper arm, well held elbows as is his top line, stands firm when stacked both front & rear with a tail correctly set on & carried, moved out well without exaggeration,  in good coat & condition, when he returned in the challenge felt the heat had taken it's toll & not quite as animated.
2nd: 207 HENDREN AND COOPER, Mr & Mrs Austin And Juliet & H Bronia Leonardo

very similar in head to 1, prefer the body shape &  body length of 1st, another in good coat & condition with well muscled thighs, correct tail carriage, large feet, sound on the move both coming & going, as shorter bodied not quite the profile of 1st.

not a large male but that is a bonus in my opinion, such lovely balance from head to tail, nothing is exagerated, in tip top gleaming coat & condition & covers the ground so well when on the move, conical shaped head with strength of jaw, almond shaped eyes & correctly set ears, firm in his neck & top line, has enough ground clearance, large well shaped feet, handled & moved to perfection. a dog who I did well for as a youngster & pleased to see has gone on to top honours & now has his title, well shaped head with correct ear placement, prefer eye shape of 1st, excellent feet, correct length of keel, a shade heavy over his loin today but still manages to stride out with ease & confidence, good tail set & carriage, in good coat & well muscled. very raw, longer in leg than 1st & rather exagerated in tuck up, pleasing feminine head, firm neck, level top line with  gradual arch over loin, prefer larger feet, well set tail, moved soundly with good length of stride, gleaming coat condition & not over abundance of it.

liked the rounded rump on this one, sound firm rear with good tail set on, conical in head shape with strength of jaw, pleasing in eye set & shape with good expression, well set neck into good layback of shoulder, well bodied with firm top line, nice tuck up & slight arch over her loin, large firm feet, well presented coat & condition.

still has further maturing yet to do but liked her shape & balance, head still to fill out as is her body, nice wrap around front, liked her shoulder & upper arm balance, not a large bitch she is feminine & sound in construction, as slow maturing would like to see her later on.

very typical of her breeding, feminine in size, most pleasing in head with lovely expressive almond shaped eyes, well placed ears, good cover on her body with a firm top line, nicely rounded rump & well placed tail correctly carried on the move which she did with precision & style, a pleasing size she presents a flowing outline & shows herself to advantage, nicely shaped large feet, delighted to award her the C.C. today.

another quality hound from this kennel, she is in tip top condition, sound mover with pride, firm well held top line & clean gradual under lines, large feet, a shade less body weight would benefit her, well presented coat & muscular in condition, lovely tail carriage.
